My man smokes weed

I wonder if anyone has any advice for me. My dp goes to his mates house almost every saturday and comes home stoned.
I think he's really childish doing it and should grow up. I'm not sure if I get so angry because he'd rather spend his time doing that, than been with me and dd or if I just have a problem with drugs.
He does only go out once a week, am I been stupid?
I have also recently given up smoking because dp wanted me to and him doing this just seems like a kick in the teeth.
Its eating me up inside, I dread weekends coming.

Just as long as you don't eat some cake/cookies get nice and weeee and then bonk for three hours or whatever it is you do when you're stoned and then get the munchies and think 'oohh yummm cake'... never ending circle that is!

No no no you can't have a 'lets get stoned' meet-up I can't go till I've had my baby and stopped breastfeeding and that's...that's a year and 6 months away

could do, if we all meet here no-one will notice, they are constantly stoned. Thats why the queue is so long in the co-op

its the people queing in the petrol station that makes me giggle. they walk there, go buy a pastie, cookies, crisps choccie etc, and wander back to the green for munchies and to smoke.

Elsmommy, I am with you. I have an abhorrence of anyone, especially parents, going out and getting wasted be it on alcohol or drugs. I know most people won't agree with me, but I think it is immature and irresponsible. And, especially after you went to so much effort to stop smoking!

Have you sppoken to him about how you feel?

I do miss smoking weed but I can't really go out and do it cos I'd never wake up if dd cried woke in the night!! Might have a go at baking the cakes again though!!

If I tell him not to do it he just get annoyed and goes out anyway. He just comes back in a worse state. We don't do much talking about how we feel though

My boyo smokes it too. I don't mind it though. Most nights usually after 10-ish. Makes him very quiet and obedient.

Lonelymum - going out and getting 'wasted' as you put it is not irresponsible in my opinion. As long as you are on a 'night out' and the childrens are at the in laws why shouldn't you be able to let your hair down once in a while? Just because you are a parent it dosn't turn you in to a robot.

Kissalot, I just loathe anyone getting wasted, doens't matter if they are parents or not. It's OK, I don't expect to have anyone else agree with me. I have always loathed drunkenness. Sorry!

LonelyMum I loathe drunkeness too but love getting stoned and don't mind stoned people... what a hypocrite I am! ...I think it stems from my mum being a raving alcoholic TBH!

Well TBH, I don't know how a stoned person behaves so maybe it wouldn't offend me. (What an innocent I am!)
