You kept the whole Mumsnet community on the edge of our seats back in November with the story of your toxic MIL forcing your DH to keep a family christening secret from you.

When the thread finished your DH had confronted his mum, you'd gone to the christening anyway, and MIL had ignored your dd. Then your dad had to have a heart op, MIL was, you suspected, pretending to be ill, and you'd just found out you were pregnant with DC2 (congratulations!).

Well you know how nosy us mumsnetters are!!! Please bring us up to date - what happened next?

...hoping this story has a happy ending.....

Shhh crush - I want to here that pg's doing well, DH kept his balls about him and MIL tragically fell off her broomstick...

Stayingsunnygirl · 05/02/2009 15:08

Or at least ended up with plenty of splinters somewhere very tender, PerArdua!!

TrillianAstra · 05/02/2009 15:20

I agree with PerArdua.

Come on, THUM, surely you're on MN under another name, you can't have left after all of this!

Someone put in instructions on how to namechange, so she can keep her new (less famous) identity if she wants.

wannaBe · 05/02/2009 15:25

didn't she actually change her name to thum? afaik.

Anyone want a cup of tea? Incidentally, does anyone remember the name of those biscuits you used to get? They were like jaffa cakes but instead of an orange-y bit, it was cherry and instead of milk chocolate on top, it was white chocolate with milk chocolate drizzly bits across?
The name of those has escaped me for years and no one I know seems to remember them....

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 17:03

I've never heard of them HolyG, but if you findout what they are/where you can get them, then let me know, because they sound yummy!

JustKeepSwimming · 05/02/2009 18:08

Have googled HolyG but no luck, they do sound rather yummy

HolyGuacamole · 05/02/2009 18:17

I just found a blog and someone said they were/are called LU Pims Cherry Cakes and were Belgian. The name does sound familiar. Went onto the PIMS website and can't find them on there but they do have raspberry ones...

And there are different Polish ones called Delicje which have a blueberry centre....

If I ever track the Pims ones down I swear I will buy 10 boxes

JustKeepSwimming · 05/02/2009 18:20

here you go!

vacaloca · 05/02/2009 19:59

Haven't read all the messages so I don't know if anyone's done this already. She did use the name 'thum' for a bit around November (and it's definitely her) so I've used that to CAT her. I hope that will work.

CuddlyKelpie · 05/02/2009 20:00

Crikey are you lot still here? I have a vat of chicken stew and some freshly baked bread if anyone is fading...

Come back THUM! Please tell us how you are now???

vacaloca · 05/02/2009 20:01

scrap that. Didn't work.

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 05/02/2009 20:10

Joining a little late but want to know whats going on... (Me? Nosey? Nah... Surely not?)

Room for a little one? I've bought pizza....

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 05/02/2009 20:13

Oh and while we are waiting for updates, I'd love to know how that Mnetters christmas day went (the one whos present's all had to be from Santa and she was going to be racing here, there and every where with her 8 month old)

Just wondering if it all went to plan??????

JustKeepSwimming · 05/02/2009 20:23

Me too Jodie

Think there should be a section for Updates, when we could post our questions, 'what ever happened to...?'

EG
What ever happened to that MNer whose DD drew a picture of a plane crash before they were due to go on holiday?

What ever happened about that school that was going to make children go to the Head for 5mins whenever they didn't do what they were told immediately?
(I remember that OP was Illegally Brunette but i don't want to 'stalk' her to find out!)

overweightnoverdrawn · 05/02/2009 20:41

cheerfulvicky · 05/02/2009 20:45

Polish jaffa cakes are quite nice - I seem to recall they do many flavours, though maybe not in UK? Yum.
