You kept the whole Mumsnet community on the edge of our seats back in November with the story of your toxic MIL forcing your DH to keep a family christening secret from you.

When the thread finished your DH had confronted his mum, you'd gone to the christening anyway, and MIL had ignored your dd. Then your dad had to have a heart op, MIL was, you suspected, pretending to be ill, and you'd just found out you were pregnant with DC2 (congratulations!).

Well you know how nosy us mumsnetters are!!! Please bring us up to date - what happened next?

...hoping this story has a happy ending.....

did it not end up with her going with blessing of SIL and MIL not going as she was stropping like a child?

Comes in and closes door quickly to stop the draft . Asks ctj to budge up so I can sit down and hands out the toffees. Offers to make a drinks run if anyone wants another cup .

I too just spent a small age reading those threads What a horrible MIL.

Plumbummum (Mulberryassmama - see tribute thread on chat ): MIL turned up at the christening after party, didn't speak to anyone and went home after an hour. They confronted MIL and she proceeded to deny everything, be all victimised and then suddenly came up with a heart problem.....it was predicted that the MIL would invent an illness since she wasn't getting all the attention or being pandered to. The rest is unknown....don't know whether the heart prob was real or invented?
