fillybuster · 18/11/2008 14:48

DH just rang me (to my work, from his) to say "I just wanted to ask why and what I've done?" ....

...was in middle of conf call so hung up on him fast. Hang on - phone just beeped...

...

dh to say "I love you too" followed by about 10 smiley faces.

Hurrah!!

tiredemma · 18/11/2008 14:48

"love you too u soppy git- have you defrosted the chicken?"

TrillianA · 18/11/2008 14:50

I got called a sap. But also got a 'love you too'.

Tigerschick · 18/11/2008 14:53

Some of these remind me of when DH and I were first married and we had a cat but no cat door. We used to leave little notes to eachother saying "Cat is in/out. Love you x" The point of the note was the bit about the cat but we always put the 'love you' bit to make it seem less boring, I guess

10krunner · 18/11/2008 14:53

We do this to each other all the time so it would be nothing out of the ordinary for my DH to receive this [smug look]

spamm · 18/11/2008 14:53

I got " Love you " back - much needed, as we are having a bit of a low time right now.

Neeerly3 · 18/11/2008 14:55

just sent mine, but he will be rather bemused - he works about 50ft away from me in another office and we talk on MSN all day....

Twims · 18/11/2008 14:56

"Love you too, mrs."

Next week lets try "Can you loan me £50" and see what responses we get

Neeerly3 · 18/11/2008 15:02

no reply!

hauntedcitylover · 18/11/2008 15:06

Slight hijack but

I sent one recently saying 'I heart you ' (I know it's a bit naff ok) in amongst other text (because i felt it was too much to say I love you in the particular circs but still wanted to let them know how I feel).

And they had stopped short of saying it by saying something else which I took to mean they felt alot for me but maybe not love.

Do you think they would have realised what I really meant??

Great thread btw

BrokenliSpears · 18/11/2008 15:15

My dh is 3500 miles away and I got an 'I love you' back within 4 minutes. Modern technology eh?

Bink · 18/11/2008 15:19

Am not doing this
dh would think it was meant for someone else (maybe our nanny, who's my main textee)

idobelieveinghosts · 18/11/2008 15:42

he text 2 seconds after phonecall with 'love u'...

forgetful?..nah probably scared shitless

shivermetimbers · 18/11/2008 15:47

"How much?"

pellmell · 18/11/2008 15:53

I'd love to know what dh's response would be if I sent one asking "what time can I jump on?"
But I might send "i love you" instead

oiwhatsoccurring · 18/11/2008 15:55

I got - love you too gorgeousness. xxxxxxxxxxx

SheikYerbouti · 18/11/2008 16:01

I am v of your romantic spouses.

Mine wouldn't know romance if it bit him square on the bottom.

H e thinks it's romantic to grind his groin into my bottom while I put something in the oven

VictorianSqualor · 18/11/2008 16:04

'me?' 'Why? what have I done?'

saythatagain · 18/11/2008 16:13

'Love you too babe. Hows your day been? X'
Immediate response too, which makes it doubly lovely!

FeelingOld · 18/11/2008 16:25

As none of these apply, Im not playing
