HUGE row with DH last night....

I feel terrible this morning. I got so angry with him and we ended up having a really huge row. I dont know whats going on in my head at the moment, but nothing he does is ever good enough. I know im lucky to have him, and he is a great dad, but i feel as if im supposed to be super housewife (like her off wife swap last night!) and i just cant do it. im ashamed to say it, but i was seriously considering leaving for good last night because i feel like i have really let him down and cant be what im supposed to be. He has already left for work this morning, and i just wanted to grab him and hug him and say sorry, but i couldnt.... something inside wouldnt let me. Sorry, just really needed to get it all out.

My dh was like this too JM until I was ill and he had to look after my ds and dd for two days. DD is at school so he only had ds to look after. He stayed out all day, did nothing round the house and then took them to MacDonalds for tea! Now I just tell him I do what I can around my ds's sleep pattern and he has accepted it. He also used to get annoyed if I went out for the day more than a couple of times a week, because I wasn't spending my time doing "my work" whilst he was doing his!! But I have kicked him into touch there too. We still have the odd argument though, especially about time spent on the pc!!

soapbox · 04/02/2005 10:37

Melsy whatever gave you the idea that Cod was on me

melsy · 04/02/2005 10:38

LOL soapy !!! you were quick to find that !!!

jessicasmummy · 04/02/2005 10:39

im not worrying anymore.... i either have friends or enemies. Ill do what ican and dh has been fantastic since the row.... even being a bit more affectionate towards me! Came up to me last night while i was at pc and flew his arms round me "just because" was his response when i asked why!

melsy · 04/02/2005 10:41

awwww thats great on both fronts jessicamummy x

jessicasmummy · 04/02/2005 10:42

thats just it. our pc is in the front room, so im still in DH's company, but he can watch what he wants to watch without me moaning! He is a big Sci-fi fan and beware if i try to flick the channel while something crap like Smallville is on!!!

wordsmith · 04/02/2005 10:48

JM - I am just interested what it was exactly that you did the other day to "entertain" the bloke who came to fit your new coker?

jessicasmummy · 04/02/2005 10:48

dh likes mn - has even been tempted to sign up himself so he can add comments to a thread like this - he knows ive got this threado n here! he wants to sign on a jessicasdaddy and give me what for! He will have a snout every now and again but is quite happy to sit and let me get on with it! I think he has learnt toblock out the tapping sound!

jessicasmummy · 04/02/2005 10:49

Wordsmith - nothing interesteing! Honestly was the longest 2 hours of my life! Standing their making idle chit chat with a 6 month old wriggler in my arms! My back was killing me last night!

Snugs · 04/02/2005 10:49

Lol wordsmith - I thought about that too, but didn't like to ask! Maybe we have dirty minds

wordsmith · 04/02/2005 10:50

Oh good. I had a 'confessions of a housewife' image running through my mind then....

melsy · 04/02/2005 10:54

I think its good they see the ones we start sometimes, as it means dh gets a good view all round of how a situation is going. I think muddaofsubburbia's dh has signed up and during mumsnet meetups with her wed see him sign on whislt he was babysitting!!

jessicasmummy · 04/02/2005 10:54

no no no - im a good girl! I couldnt cheat on dh even if i tried!!! Any of you seen that crap tv programme on E4 - something about messing with my boyfriend.... 3 girls let their bf's go into a house with a single guy and a single girl. The girl has to suss out which one is single. They get up to all sorts - snogging, sex etc all while the 3 girlfriends are watching - i would go ape shit!!! I know its worth £10k at the end of it but NO WAY!

If it got to the point hwere my house wasa tip beacause of it I dont think I coudl say to MY husband that things were too much when I had fannied around on mn all day
its just illogical!

jessicasmummy · 04/02/2005 10:58

OP posts:
lowcalCOD · 04/02/2005 10:59
