I need to find an undetectable tracker. Any recommendations? It’s for a car

No

Darragon · 28/07/2026 08:15

I recommend therapy and a divorce. The trust is long gone.

Thanks for the sensible reply. I am being lied to I’m convinced because he wants to keep his image as the nice guy. It will give me closure.

No, please don't, it's just wrong. Find closure another way, or just walk away. It's not really going to make you feel better.

Funchythesnowwoman · 28/07/2026 08:21

I don’t think anyone should be giving advice about undetectable trackers. .

CurlewKate · 28/07/2026 08:46

It won’t help. If you don’t trust him, leave and move on.

ComtesseDeSpair · 28/07/2026 08:52

Closure is deciding to walk away because you aren’t happy and you don’t trust him and that’s no way to live. If the tracker movements indicated nothing suspicious at all then you still wouldn’t be happy and you still wouldn’t trust him, so just erase that step.

Once you’ve broken up, his image and what he tells his friends and family aren’t anything you need to think about, who cares whether other people think he’s great or not? You don’t need to justify not wanting to be with him to anyone.

I completely agree with this but my situation is different. I thought (and everyone else, and I really mean everyone) that we were rock solid. Last weekend something very out of character happened (away to a hotel, no contact etc) and then a few days ago he ended the relationship. I was stunned. We are all in shock. We had booked a holiday together (due to go at the weekend) just three weeks before. He’s now cancelled that holiday, removed himself from lifesum with a reason that makes no sense and has booked himself a holiday instead. Then I saw his ChatGPT (which he is obsessed with) have you decided if you are going to tell xxxx (me, name removed obviously) about your holiday with xxxx (girls name). He is away at the moment with his daughters and was texting this morning. Sent a picture etc. chatting very nicely, backwards and forwards. I asked if he had cancelled our holiday and he said yes and had booked himself a holiday. I asked if he was going on his own. 10 minute silence (obviously to consult ChatGPT) and he said he’s going on his own but might meet someone there for ‘emotional support’

Seriously, even if all your suspicions are correct it don't give you closure.

BirdLandedonmyHead · 28/07/2026 09:08

Dont give the ammunition to paint you as the crazy ex.

Walk away with dignity.

Odditea · 28/07/2026 09:10

OP you are very much in the shock phase and you will not be thinking clearly. Do not do anything like this. You will regret it. Sorry it’s so shit

TheThingOnTheIce · 28/07/2026 09:11

How long were you with him ? No point tracking him he’s already ended it and has clearly either been cheating or you were the OW

JoyousWriter · 28/07/2026 09:12

No, you don't.

So he’s broken up with you because he has somebody else or is heading that way. He’s told you he might be taking somebody else on holiday with him. That’s all you need to know. It’s over, understandably you are shocked and sad and didn’t see it coming, but tracking his movements when it’s already obvious he’s either met somebody new or is thinking about meeting somebody new isn’t going to bring you peace, it’s just prolonging the reality you can already accept.

BobbysDazzler · 28/07/2026 09:16

If you really want to track him an airtag / android equivaleny chucked in his car wheelwell or under the seat or the like would work.

But unless this will be extremely helpful, I agree with others, just walk away and move on

almondflake · 28/07/2026 09:16

it is illegal to track someone without their knowledge or consent so you could be prosecuted if they find out.
You really are best considering your relationship is over , if he hasn’t told you this I’d finish it for him then you know exactly where you stand . Block him and get on with building your life up .
Go on a holiday and have some time to yourself .

spellingtest · 28/07/2026 09:18

Thanks for your wisdom. I think I’ll hire a private detective instead. Surely they aren’t illegal?

OP posts:
mummypigoink · 28/07/2026 09:20

He’s an adult with two children who has to consult chatGPT to talk to another adult? That’s reason enough to be glad he’s gone. It’s an unpleasant conversation to have but it’s obvious what you have to say.

Ignore his messages of him in holiday with his children (assuming they aren’t your children).

And no one is going to think he’s a nice guy if a serious relationship is over and he’s straight in with someone else. They’re going to think pathetic prick having a mid-life crisis.

What would you say if a man posted this? Its reprehensible behaviour. He's ended it. Be the bigger person and let him go

You're coming across unhinged and bitter.

spellingtest · 28/07/2026 09:18

Thanks for your wisdom. I think I’ll hire a private detective instead. Surely they aren’t illegal?

But what for? You want a private investigator to confirm that he’s on holiday with someone else? He’s told you that. He’s ended the relationship. He’s booked a holiday and said there might be someone else there with him. Just tie up any loose ends around belongings that need to be collected etc and then block him.

You’ll drive yourself mad with this. You mention “everyone” being shocked at what’s happened so it sounds as though you have a support network - use them to rant, cry, sympathise about what a shitbag he’s been, and be glad that he ended it and you aren’t stuck in the middle of it any more.

PeterRabbitsWhiskers · 28/07/2026 09:25

He isn't lying. He has told you the truth, you just don't like the truth. Paying for a private investigator is a waste of your money and their time. It won't change how this man feels about you in a positive way, makes you look like a fool.

I understand how you are feeling, I have wanted to place trackers, hire an investigator etc. It won't help. Hold your head up, keep your dignity and walk away.

Serenity75 · 28/07/2026 09:25

you are obviously really upset which is understandable. But, he has ended the relationship. It may be because he has cheated (and it probably is), but that ship has sailed. If he goes away with someone now, he’s doing so as a single man, it’s really nothing to do with you. I would suggest that you block him and stop all contact and focus on yourself. As someone has said, anyone who leans in ai as such a crutch to talk to you is clearly not someone you want to be with for the future.

TheThingOnTheIce · 28/07/2026 09:27

op can you provide some more context?

how long were you together , how entwined were your lives? Does he owe you a shit ton of money or something as hiring a PI sounds very drastic when he’s already ended the relationship.

he IS the nice guy.

a few days ago he ended the relationship.
and you are trying to stalk him.

You are the one in the wrong, and if you don't let go, you are the turning into the abusive deranged stalker from hell.

It might hurt, but people are allowed to end a relationship. That does not give you the right to go for revenge and turning into a nightmare. Let it go. You need help fast.
