I need to find an undetectable tracker. Any recommendations? It’s for a car

Thanks for your wisdom. I think I’ll hire a private detective instead. Surely they aren’t illegal?

and do what? Find evidence that someone is with a new partner AFTER THEY END THEIR RELATIONSHIP is not illegal, it's not even immoral.

He broke up with you. He moved on. You really need to move on to.

MysteryMachineRidesAgain · 28/07/2026 09:37

I would say he’s given you closure. He’s ended his relationship with you. Knowing where he is won’t help.

The previous poster who said an AirTag is wrong, AirTags send notifications to nearby phones that are moving along with them. Why would a massive international company like Apple make a device that for £25 you could stalk someone?

Funchythesnowwoman · 28/07/2026 09:38

What good will a private detective do? You know he is with someone else. You will come across as the deranged ex.

In your shoes, I would put the money in cash that you were going to spend on this, in a frame and put it on the wall and raise a glass to it every day.

You know he is at it. Everyone around him knows or soon will know. Why on earth would you spend more on him? He would love to know that you have. why give him that power? Time is what you need.

Shit men behave shit. It is a basic law of the universe. Nothing you do now, will change that. The sun will come up and go down too.

Anyone that has a PD on their tail, unless they are spectacularly dim, will know about it on day two.

FlorasRoundhouse · 28/07/2026 09:52

can you clarify what do you need to know to get closure?
will knowing that REALLY give you that closure or will it just add fuel to a fire of resentment you already have?

i think in this instance you are not thinking straight and i completely understand it- he's pulled the rug out from under the life you thought you had. he may well have lied, or had his head turned by another woman, maybe not. what does it matter - he no longer wants you and had the balls to end it. many men dont do this and tear lives apart. so i think he is a good man - even if hes not being good to you right now.

i also think you are a good person who is hurting.

If this man was your son and he was unhappy, you would advise him to end it and live his life. you would fully expect his girlfriend to be sad, but if she then tried to surveil him you would be furious. step outside of yourself and think things through.

focus on YOU.

EnjoythemoneyJane · 28/07/2026 09:52

This is stalker behaviour. Just stop, it’s unhinged.

You’re understandably upset, but coming up with various ways of monitoring and spying on someone you’re no longer in a relationship with is deranged, and nothing you find out can possibly help you make peace with the situation.

Thanks for the sensible reply. I am being lied to I’m convinced because he wants to keep his image as the nice guy. It will give me closure.

You don’t need to do this for closure. You simply accept your relationship is not working and end it. No need to lower yourself to this - tracking him without consent is illegal. Unless what he is doing is also illegal, it makes you worse than him.

Get some counselling for the closure you need.

CurlewKate · 28/07/2026 10:07

He’s not lying to you. Or if he is, it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that he has broken up with you. Which is better than the alternative, frankly. Take some time to rant and grieve, then move on.

Naurrr · 28/07/2026 10:18

It's unethical for this post to stay up, if a man was on here asking for tips on stalking his ex girlfriend there would be uproar.

Don't waste money on a detective, spend it on enjoying life. Forget the artificial intelligence loser ex.

Why does it matter so much? The relationship is over. If this is about divorce finances the moral rights and wrongs of the relationship will be irrelevant.

You need to move on not waste money on a private investigator.

Mamaceita · 28/07/2026 10:22

Tracker or air tag illegal, but could you afford a private detective??

Why would she need one? Better just forget the ex entirely.

Mamaceita · 28/07/2026 10:25

Or ghost the twat

Hottrotters · 28/07/2026 10:28

What is stalking your ex going to achieve? Please keep your dignity. End contact and block him. He prefers to be with someone else. As hard as it is you need to move on. He owes you nothing.

LottieMary · 28/07/2026 10:31

Reported as asking for support on illegal activity

justaboymummy · 28/07/2026 10:40

OP I'm sorry I know your hurting but you sound out of your mind in all honesty. This is not healthy. I know it's hard but you have to accept the relationship is over and move on.

no one is giving advice

Maybe it would be a good thing to keep thread telling bitter ex-women that tracking your ex is illegal and completely wrong?

You want to hire a private detective to stalk your ex boyfriend. That's batshit insane behaviour.

clearlyy · 28/07/2026 10:44

You need to just leave. Dont do that. If you are unhappy literally just divorce him. You don’t need to do all this shite.

It’s illegal - unless the car belongs to you. You are not allowed to stalk people.

TheThingOnTheIce · 28/07/2026 10:45

I don’t think they are married and he has already ended the relationship.

and by the sound of it, he had a lucky escape. Can't blame him really.

If a man or woman finds a tracker in their car put by their ex, they need to report to the police immediately. What else are they going to do to them? It's not safe.

DixonD · 28/07/2026 10:50

BobbysDazzler · 28/07/2026 09:16

If you really want to track him an airtag / android equivaleny chucked in his car wheelwell or under the seat or the like would work.

But unless this will be extremely helpful, I agree with others, just walk away and move on

Please don’t encourage her. It’s against the law.

What on earth is the point of getting a private detective? You've been dumped. Nothing the private detective tells you is going to change that.

Accept he's not the man you thought he was and move on.
