Dp and I had a(nother) row today, I can barely bring myself to type what he called me, at least not yet!!
Tell me I'm not the only one who gets involved in this mad slinging crap

My granny, who had a vile temper, would call someone a 'black bottle'. Sounds like nothing really, but it was the way she said it which made it the worst insult you'd ever hear.

DeeRiguer · 07/06/2008 20:13

kittywise
it was pinhead still makes be blush now
sorry things are not good

scorpio1 · 07/06/2008 20:14

(i was v tired & moody, lol!)

staryeyed · 07/06/2008 20:14

My Dp called me a twit the other day when he was angry. I would have laughed had I not been in the mood I was in. That's about as mean as he gets lol.

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 07/06/2008 20:15

selfish selfcentred arsewipe I think I used

Call his bluff. Smile when he calls you it and refuse to talk. X

kittywise · 07/06/2008 20:16

"clingly twat", I like that.

My verbally abusive ex called me an ignorant bitch.

I left him then and there.

kittywise · 07/06/2008 20:17

expat, this was worse than that

OP posts:
JodieG1 · 07/06/2008 20:17

I've been called, "fucking useless", "stupid cunt" and others.

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 07/06/2008 20:17

Was it the C word?

expatinscotland · 07/06/2008 20:18

I wouldn't call someone that so I don't put up with anyone speaking to me like that.

scorpio1 · 07/06/2008 20:19

i would make dh leave if he called me the c word. was it that?

mamamamama · 07/06/2008 20:20

My ex called me 'psycho bitch from hell' when I told him it was over. If he had shown that much emotion in our relationship it might have lasted longer.

Thomcat · 07/06/2008 20:20

expat - was he was verbally abusive before and the ignorant bitch was the comment that made you leave, or was the start of his verbal abuse and you left?

The worst was years ago when he said I was a shit mum - I'm not a shit mum, he knows I'm not but he knew what button to press to get a reaction. The people closest to us hurt us the most because they know you well enough to know what would really hurt I think. I take no notice of heat of the moment words now but do expect an apology afterwards and insist it isn't said again and explain why.

We've all said things we don't mean.

expatinscotland · 07/06/2008 20:23

he was always putting me down and criticising me, TC. and he blamed me for EVERYTHING. one night we rowed because i didn't want to eat crispy aromatic duck and he ran off to get bladdered in a pub.

he woke up the next morning and said his sore head was all my fault.

always calling me loopy and the like.

of course, like most abusers, it started out with basically calling me silly and disguising it as being funny or humourous.

the ignorant bitch thing was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Thomcat · 07/06/2008 20:27

Good for you expat, sounds like you are well rid.

mummymusings · 07/06/2008 20:27

its funny isnt it how they try and make out youre psychologically unbalanced in some way for being outraged when they are being downright abusive tits. i know exactly where youre coming from. they actually think they are so clever that you dont see what theyre doing!

kittywise · 07/06/2008 20:28

Yes it was and then some

Saturn74 · 07/06/2008 20:31

sorry you're having a hard time, kitty

expatinscotland · 07/06/2008 20:41

that's exactly how he made it out, mummy!

oddly enough, the next bloke i went out with started in with that 'you're a nutter but i love you' shite after only a couple of dates and i dumped him asap.
