Yes for me

OP posts:
AllProperTeaIsTheft · 24/04/2025 18:02

No. I have fair hair and brownish green eyes. I have always found men with dark hair and blue eyes particularly attractive.

vodkaredbullgirl · 24/04/2025 18:02

Are you bored OP 😆 2 posts on relationships.

FleaBeeBob · 24/04/2025 18:07

My OH would be Miranda Hart we honestly could be twins - apart from our hair mines wavy and hers is poker straight. The walk, laugh, face its really quite weird seeing her on screen

BumbleBeegu · 24/04/2025 18:13

Not sure of actual facts, but my mum and dad were eerily similar! Both had green eyes, a prominent chin, beautiful high cheekbones and dark hair. Honestly…in photos, if you didn’t actually know them, you’d assume they were siblings.

ellyoctober · 24/04/2025 18:14

Who is they? Confused

canthavethatonethen · 24/04/2025 18:22

DH and I both have the same colour eyes. That's where the similarity ends. 😂

NewUserNewName · 24/04/2025 18:29

My husband and I have the same face shape, but everything else is different (he’s southern European, I’m northern)

Pigeonqueen · 24/04/2025 19:14

Hmm well all my exes are beardy, hairy and skinny so maybe not!

MaryGreenhill · 24/04/2025 19:25

Yes

TheMathofLoveTriangles · 24/04/2025 19:27

I feel like any man who looked like me would also look like my father. So, it’s a no from me.

Dearg · 24/04/2025 19:30

No. DH and I are completely different shapes, heights and colouring. Looking round at my siblings and wider family, none of the couples look like each other.

To be honest I don’t think I have ever dated a pale , freckly redhead and as pp said, that would be way too much like my dad

IsItAllRubbish · 24/04/2025 19:32

Absolutely not in my case but I find same faced couples really fascinating!

Cedrabbage · 24/04/2025 19:34

No

category12 · 24/04/2025 19:34

I thought that was dogs.

Looking like their owner?

Whatwouldnanado · 24/04/2025 19:35

Dh and I have been taken for brother and sister. Our mothers looked very alike. There’s general family resemblance among our kids and their spouses too.

itsnotalwaysthateasy · 24/04/2025 19:37

They actually say that the type of man you stay with is often similar in looks to a man within your family, that was important to you growing up.

Screamingabdabz · 24/04/2025 19:40

I think ‘your type’ is always like the first person you fell in love with.

SharpOpalNewt · 24/04/2025 19:41

DH doesn't look like me other than we both have solid legs. He has always been rather rounder in the belly than me and has fair freckly skin and red hair. I don't carry a lot of weight on my middle and have hazelnut/dark blonde colouring and olive skin that tans easily. We have loads of other things in common though. He was born at midday, I was born at midnight. Same birth weight, same blood type, exactly the same GCSE, A Level and degree results. I'm the same height as his mum and sister.

3rdtimeidiot · 24/04/2025 19:42

Yep. I’m a red head, always liked red heads, my fiancee is a red head and we have 3 red headed children 😄

SharpOpalNewt · 24/04/2025 19:48

I can remember the moment I suddenly started fancying red heads instead of tall, dark hair, blue eyes - it was that British high jumper Steve Smith.

Still pretty tall though 😅

Justletmemoveon · 24/04/2025 19:55

I was once part of a research study looking into this! They morphed a photo of me into various men’s faces if I remember correctly and then I had to rate them for attractiveness. They didn’t tell us until afterwards that our faces were morphed in. I have no idea what the results were, but it must be a genuine thing if they were funding research on it.

Justletmemoveon · 24/04/2025 19:56

But no. I’m very pale with red hair, and I always go for very dark guys and always have.

cardboardvillage · 24/04/2025 19:59

No. The opposite

MarkingBad · 24/04/2025 19:59

3rdtimeidiot · 24/04/2025 19:42

I have dark red hair and read a while ago that redheads are often attractive to other redheads. The varacity of that I couldn't vouch for.

Outside of that I've never found someone who looks like me that I'm not already related to and that's too horrible to even contemplate!

VeryQuaintIrene · 24/04/2025 20:04

Happily not.
