How long were you with your OH before having a child ?

1.5 years for me

First husband 5 years and we co parent brilliant always have we had the same values on parenting, we still do since separating.

I have 1 child with my now husband we were together 2 years and we are completely at odds in respect of parenting I adore her but if I'd known then what I know now I probably wouldn't have wanted a child with him but obviously I have no regrets the good thing is her but he's completely opposite to me in parenting and won't compromise. Together almost 6 years now and it's very tough it's definitely affected our relationship. Maybe 2 years wasn't enough time to really know him.

6 weeks (before pregnancy) and would not recommend.

Together for 10, married for 5. We’re lucky to have met in our early 20s so had the luxury of time in our side.

11 years to the day.... But then, we were 16 and 17 when we started dating!

We’d been together 3 years. I found out I was pregnant with DC1 about 6 weeks after we got married. Had DC2 16 months later. DC3 was a drunken “oopsie” 2 years after that.
We divorced when DC3 was 2.

Also 12 years!

15 years when we had our DS. 22 years together now. We regularly say how glad we are that we had such a long time together beforehand to live our lives. Now we parent brilliantly because we know each other so well and we don't resent the sacrifices needed in a relationship when kids come along.

17 years before we started trying for a baby, but we got together very young (we were only 15 and 17 years old).

8 years.

18 months. Was a bit of a shock but worked out fine.

5 years

I got pregnant 8 months after we met

About 20 years. Got together when I was early 20’s and had a child early 40’s.

We met when I was 23, he was 29. We married a year later and we decided to start our family 5 years later. Our daughter was born 10 months later.

Another one that’s 12 years!

Nigh on 6 years when we had our oldest, but we started ttc when we’d been together 3.5 years/just got married.

7 years when she was born.

We’d been together just under 2 years when I got pregnant. We found out shortly before our wedding.

14 years

Almost 10 years after having gotten together at about 17.

DC1 - 12 years and he left when DC1 was 4 months old.

DC2 - just under 2 years. Now married and all 4 of us very happy a decade or so later.
