How long were you with your OH before having a child ?

7 years.
Still together 10 years later. Agree on most parenting decisions.

I was with my ex for around 4 months before I was pregnant. Wasn’t planned at all but don’t regret having DC1 as she’s grown into an awesome young adult. We had DC2 four years later which was planned but ex still acted like it was the end of the world.

Been with DH for almost 12 years now, married for almost 7 but we were TTC before that. Just never happened for us. We’re ok with that now as we’re both in our 40s and enjoying the freedom we have with my DC being older and he was (and still is) a great stepdad to them.

We are now instead enjoying being “auntie” and “uncle” to our best friends’ toddler and we were both asked to be guide-parents (same idea as godparents but without the religious side) at his naming ceremony.

1.5 years, unplanned but best thing that ever happened to us. Still together 24 years later

10-ish years I think?! 22 and 23 when we got together and 32 and 33 when DS was born.

20 years x

9 years. But we started trying after 5.

Just over 4 years.

We got together when I was 20 and he was 22 and had been together 5 years when I first got pregnant.
We’ve now been together almost 36 years and married for 30 this year.

Just over 2 years.

9 years 7 months 25 days.

4 weeks until i was pregnant. It wasn't planned and maybe it shouldn't have happened but ds was and is my heart's desire and a total joy. Dh and I were together until his death after 15 years.

Was about 15 months until I became pregnant (which I, naively, was happy about at the time as we were both older and I was keen to have kids).

Turns out I didn't really know him and although I would probably make the same choice again due to not having the luxury of time on my side I will advise my kids to think seriously about what kind of partnership they really want from their early 20s on (I was not very serious through my 20s) and to approach them with the idea that they should allow at least three years for getting to know someone before they commit to children.

A decade and it still turned out I didn't really know him. We divorced 7 years and 3 DS later due to abuse.

10 years,

Married for 3 when we had our 1st child,

another 10 years before we had our 2nd child.

Together for 10 years, married for 5.

Found out I was pregnant with DC1 9 months after first date and about 3 weeks after living together ! I was pregnant when he first met my parents!
It worked out !

Together for 5 years, married for 3. But we were friends for about 6 years before that.

7 years & married for 4.
