Hey, ladies. Have you ever had a situation where you talked to a man via video and you liked him, but when you met him you didn’t like him? Or maybe he didn’t like you.

You can do phone calls and video calls and texts and think you're a good match, but the minute you see / speak to them "in the flesh", realise they're not right at all !!

I think it’s something related with our genetic scent we can’t detect thru video

Please, tell your story. I’m talking to a guy , he’s from other country and plans to come see me and I’m afraid I will not like him or he will not like me. Don’t wanna waist our time and his money :)

Why would you bother? surely there are plenty of local men to date? I'd be dubious of a man saying he would make that much effort to come over from another country just to meet you, likely to be scam and he'll be hinting for you to send money or there is something seriously wrong why millions of women in the USA won't date him.

He said that i see the world the same as he does and he likes me and it’s hard to find that combo for him

I’ve never done a video call with anyone - ever. But I once matched with a guy on OLD and we chatted for several hours a few nights running and we both felt there was a real spark. We met that weekend and the minute he walked in, my heart sank. The way he dressed, his whole demeanour was just not what I was expecting. The date was painful, I just wanted to run, I made an excuse and cut the date short. He messaged that evening saying he’d really had a great time and wanted to meet again. I felt a right cow saying no but it was dreadful.

There’s a lot of tv shows out there showing you how it’s done. It’s getting quite common now that video calls are faked. These scammers are very clever now. He hasn’t asked you for money has he?

We argue a lot about the fact that he often demands a video, but I don’t want it! I don't feel comfortable talking to a guy I've never met.

He’s 43 yo , never been married and never lived with a woman (I don’t know if it’s a red flag) but had enough relationships
