Men who leave after a baby

What are your first thoughts if you hear that a man has left a woman within 6 months of them having a baby together?

He’s a cunt

My ex-DH did this to me, and honestly I think hes scum.

But plenty of women who he has met since we separated have seemed to think otherwise... some of them even had children themselves.

My stbxh did the opposite, left to have a baby with someone else. Either way it's cuntish behaviour.

He’s a thunder cunt and I wouldn’t go anywhere near him. Any man who leaves a small baby, or actually ANY child without providing financially and moving heaven and earth to spend as much time as possible with them? Big fat fuck off from me. I wouldn’t entertain it.

That for whatever reason, the relationship broke down.

Depends why. If she cheated, or was physically abusive, fine. If it’s a case of ‘she didn’t have as much time for me as before/the baby drove us apart’ then he’s probably immature and only suited to light hearted non-committed relationships (despite anything he says)

Left and not co-parented? Or left but continued to have a relationship with their child?

Any man who separates from the mother of his young children instantly raises my suspicions and I judge harshly unless proven otherwise. There are always exceptions of course, but as a rule very few women would leave a man in those early years without very good reason IMO.

i'd need to know more first... sometimes its not just as simple as he just got up off the sofa one day, packed a bag and left!

Not surprising - babies can ruin many relationships - even solid ones.

Well, many of them leave after learning the partner is just a few weeks pregnant, so, my thoughts are "wow, they waited 6+ months, usually they leave sooner".

This is actually sadly very, very true, and many "fathers" have little if zero connection to the human they helped to create.

Some of these men seem to have a magnetism for unsuspecting women ... someone in my wider circle has fathered five DC by five different women (needless to say doesn't pay maintenance) yet he has persuaded a professional woman to marry him .... how? Why would any woman shack up with someone like that?
Yes, I am being judgmental ... I would hope that a professional woman had better judgement.

maybe she trapped him... he didnt want a baby and she did, she got pregnant and wouldnt 'get rid of it' .. so he stepped up, doing the right thing because thats what is expected of men.. and at 6 months he's decided that enough is enough?

My first boys dad and I broke up when he was 4 months.... he chose drugs and partying over us both.

Words from someone who has experienced this and fathers that do this they massive are losers and massive cunts.

It's happened to two friends of mine. One, it came out he'd been shagging a colleague for months. The other left when he figured out the child was disabled. Neither of them pay even CMS level maintenance. Both middle-class professionals. Utter cunts, the pair of them.

Men can use birth control too.

Sadly I know multiple situations where this has happened and it has never been because the woman 'trapped' him.

They’ve just got married but I know for a fact he also cheated on her while she was pregnant in Ibiza two weeks before her due date so yeah hope she enjoys her prize.

yes they can.. and i agree it takes 2 to make a baby.. but if he wanted a baby and she didn't and she got pregant... could he MAKE her keep it? nope her body her decision...
