Today he has been making me stand with my hands across my eyes, to take Polaroid photos of me.

So, this morning he took one of me next to the Christmas tree with my eyes closed. I couldn't open them until he'd left the room.

Then he's done a few more at random places across the day....

I don't want to get my hopes up but what is he hiding!? What is this about!!!

Excited but still need to keep my cool just in case it's something completely different haha.

I increasingly despair at the amount of negativity and reality-twisting spewed by some posters on this site. Sometimes there are interesting conversations but all too often, people are overly critical and do the customary autopilot “LTB” scream before they’ve even had a chance to properly assess the OP. Pretty horrendous.

Regardless of whether it is a proposal or not, how lovely that he is clearly making some effort to do something a bit special and memorable for you @sleepysummery I remember being a child and the anticipation was a huge part of the excitement around Xmas so I hope you have a wonderful Xmas day. He is making an effort, the OP I'd clearly excited. I don't see why people can't just be nice.

Some people love public proposals, some like a big gesture, some like a quiet and private one with no fuss. Mine was no fuss, same as my wedding. Doesn't mean I can't be pleased for people that have different proposals.

If it is a proposal at least he is putting some thought into it. My DH asked me if we should get married as I was walking him to the bus station after a visit. I said that that would be a good idea. No romantic proposal. We are still married almost 40 years on.
