DH been away for weeks at work and hasn’t come near me since being home

My DH works out of the country for long periods of time. This time he was away for 5 weeks. This is his third night home and he hasn’t come near me. No hugs, kisses, nothing. I suggested sex tonight and he just shrugged it off and is now sleeping next to me. Feeling really rubbish about it and just need to vent 😞

Would your husband/partner be like this if they hadn’t seen you in so long?

I really think it depends on where he works and what he does. If he's working for a multi-national, in a city, spending a lot of time socialising etc - then yy I'd worry he had cheated. If he works in anything related to aid, conflict, medicine - then my first thought would be that he was traumatised rather than cheating iyswim. I know quite a few people who worked in Africa for years around aid/medicine/conflict then suddenly had a depressive episode or developed PTSD.

Hope things have sorted themselves out op. Something else to think about. My husband started avoiding sex because he developed erectile dysfunction due to uncontrolled diabetes. There are other reasons and I hope it’s not cheating.
