Do you like this engagement ring?

My boyfriend has proposed with a temporary ring and has said I can pick the ring I want. (something I’ve always wanted to do).

I don’t want anything too expensive as I don’t particularly like jewellery and don’t want to spend thousands.

I have found one I like, very simple and not fancy at all but does it look like an engagement ring? What are your thoughts?

I know I’lol be the one wearing it but just wanted to know opinions on the style.

thanks

My wedding ring is shaped like Op's first pic but just plain gold.

It also looks fine without my engagement ring!

It’s lovely. My friend has an engagement ring and didn’t bother with a wedding ring. I have a lovely engagement ring, and a simple plain gold band as a wedding ring. I only wear the latter as the diamond on my engagement ring sticks out and caught it on my baby’s soft skin and left a mark! Barely wear it anymore!! It’s important for you to love it, nobody else has to wear it everyday!!

Prefer the second one.

Simple and pretty.
You can get a ring made to fit round it from a jeweller or try and buy the wedding band at the same time.

What about something in this sort of style? I appreciate this is more than £500!

Thank you so much everyone for your advice and comments, I really appreciate it. I had no idea where to start but I am drawn towards the second one I posted and this one.

I think they all look lovely. I'd always choose one where the diamonds or stones are not going to catch on clothing or fall out. It's nice if you don't have to worry about damaging the ring

OP I really like the 2nd and 3rd ones :)

It's worth remembering that their aren't any "rules" about engagement rings, particularly I think people are getting too hung up on whether it will "fit" with a wedding ring.

You don't have to get a separate wedding ring at all if you don't want to, or you could do like some people I know and have ring for the engagement, and a separate ring for the marriage, but either just wear the wedding ring once married or wear them on different hands so they don't have to fit together or match

Congratulations on your future marriage and I wish you happiness!
