What the hell is a 'Breeding kink'?

I keep seeing it on Tiktok Confused

I mean, they all make jokes about having this then freaking out when they really do get pregnant so is it like a fantasy thing? For getting pregnant?

I really don't understand and don't wanna Google for obvious reasons.

There are a LOT of men into this. Seems more common than in women.

LondonWolf · 05/01/2022 17:15

Tik Tok is a very worrying platform and I am glad my kids show no interest!

Silverswirl · 05/01/2022 17:18

Why is that so weird? A woman gets turned on by the thought that sex might result in a pregnancy . Errr yes, that’s primarily what sex is for 🤣 so of course!

EarthSight · 05/01/2022 17:19

One could argue that is not a kink at all, not if you're in a committed relationship. You could argue that having sex and getting pregnant is the most basic of reproductive instincts......but now it's a kink apparently?? 🤣

Bananalanacake · 05/01/2022 17:20

Thanks for answering my questions, so basically harmless roleplay, if both partners are up for it then it's ok.

Makes just as much sense for a man- maybe more so. Men are driven to procreate. It’s what most think about night and day every 5 mins in various forms. Of course it’s going to turn some men on to think that they might get their sexual partner pregnant!?
EarthSight · 05/01/2022 17:22

I might be in the dark about this, but I'm guessing it's more about the insemination and impregnating part, rather than thinking of a baby?

Either I, you or the Op might be mixing our terms up....but they're not making that up....it's a thing, sadly :/

EarthSight · 05/01/2022 17:28

I was referencing the 'breeding' language with regards to race, in case that wasn't obvious.

Avarua · 05/01/2022 17:28

Isn't it great that many millions of children have unfettered access to tiktok?

pog100 · 05/01/2022 17:30

When you spend most of your adult, and not so adult, love avoiding pregnancy at all costs, it's hardly surprising that getting inseminated and pregnant becomes a taboo and therefore a possible kink.

MonsterBookOfMonsters · 05/01/2022 17:30

When my dh and I started TTC after 5 years of being in a relationship, and loving together for 4 years, we were super turned on by TTC sex.

Well, it took 15 months for baby number 1 you can imagine how excited we were after....probably about 6 month Confused. Baby number 2 took 14 months, we shagged for a life time during those years. Grin

MonsterBookOfMonsters · 05/01/2022 17:31

My daughter says a load of her friends are on tiktok, every day after school. She's 11. Don't their parents know it's 1) age rated 13+; 2) unmoderated and not covered by any kind of legal restriction or responsibility whatsoever?

scorpiogirly · 05/01/2022 17:35

@jetadore

But I guess it could be akin to people who like the thrill of possible contracting HIV by having unprotected sex?

The thrill of what?

The danger maybe, I have heard about this before.

It's more important for a lot of parents to make sure their kids are fitting in with their peers who might all be on Tik Tok, that they are up to date in the latest online craze or trend. Some treasure the extra time they get when their kid will be distracted so they turn a blind eye, and others are just ignorant to the sort of shite that kids can see online today.

It harvests a huge amount of user data.

www.wired.co.uk/article/tiktok-data-privacy

It's not a benign platform, that's for sure.

I’m talking about it being mostly black men. That totally isn’t true

Wheresmywoolyjumpers · 05/01/2022 17:49

@SickOfItNoww

But I don't understand how the thought of getting pregnant, with a baby, is a sexual turn on.

Why would the act of creating a baby get you sexually excited, rather than the act of sex getting you excited the the consequences being a child (wanted or not)

It's very on the line of being inappropriate to me and giving me really weird vibes.

As a turn on, same reason some people get excited by the idea of BDSM, or sitting on cakes, role play, dressing up as furry animals etc, etc. People get turned on by lots of things. Most are just about the idea, and are limited to particular times and places. So, about maybe getting pregnant rather than actually trying to get pregnant. Not all kink will be your cup of tea but as long as it's consensual and no one is hurt (that doesn't want to be) so what? It is not up to anyone to say it is inappropriate.
Kudupoo · 05/01/2022 17:51

It's just a disgusting term for it though, why not conception kink?

Breeding kink is so dehumanising

Absolutely. I know a few people online who are quite into this, and they are all people who, for various reasons, find the thought of actual pregnancy very frightening, and the kink thing is partly a way of dealing with that fear.
Avarua · 05/01/2022 17:55

@MondayYogurt I read that article, thanks for posting. Worrying alright. It made me conclude that if the OP "keeps on" having this sort of content pop up on her feed then the algorithm must've picked up on her interest in it from her other online areas of interest...

I would imagine the term came about because 'breeding' sounds more primal!

There's probably lots who are into this though you don't label it or have never heard of the label, it's just something they've always enjoyed!
