Where did you meet your DH?

As the title suggests...where did you meet your partner?

Also, if you don't mind a more personal one, how many times have you been married and what ages where you?

Soon to be married for second time at 46! Met soon-to-be DH on the internet 10 years ago (not on a dating site though, but on a low-tech chat forum).

First marriage at 25 to much older man I met at work when I was 19. We alreayd had two children when we married. Separated when I was 30.

In a pub ... he was (still is) a lecturer and I was a student (bit more cliched than Ellbell!). Married a year later, me 23 and him 31. First marriage for both of us and that was 13 years ago.

internet dating site in Oct 2002. Actually met in Nov 2002, Moved in together Feb 2003 married Oct 2003.

Met him in an 'arts centre' for the very unarty purpose of taking part in a pub quiz with a mutual friend. He was wearing a dolphin t-shirt and I thought he was a geek. I was right, but geeks are the future, you know ... dolphin t-shirt is now decorating-wear (it'd be in landfill if I had my way).

We were both 24 then, 25 when we got together, 27 when we got married. 35 now, eighth wedding anniversary on Tuesday, it's the 'I can't be arsed, it's too near Christmas' one.

Came out of a club v. merry with best friend. Taxi driver shouts "taxi for such and such". I say "thats me" NOT!!!

He asked for my phone number and phoned next day to ask me out for lunch. Had to phone bf to ask what he looked like. She says "don't know but I was sitting behind the drivers seat and all I remember is seeing a baldy head"!!

Panic stations thinking I'm off on a date with a pensioner. Turns out he had a skinhead.

Moved in with me within six weeks and got married 2 years later. That was 7 years ago when I was 23 and he was 29. First for both of us.

my internet went down, called blueyonder tech support - got him, we laughed a lot during the call, he emailed me, emails and texts back and forth for a few weeks then we met and been together 3 years now - he's 26 and I'm 38

he had to leave his job cos it was a sackable offence to get involved with customers

We met on a course, I couldn't stand him - thought he was really arrogant. We got togeather while we were both with other people after getting drunk on a work night out. Got married at 25, after 3 years going out, and still not killed each other 3 years later. He's pretty great!

met at work over an invoice! how romantic. he fancied me for a year before asking me out as he was a bit shy and scared of me Dated for 2 years got married oct06 had baby august this year. He now 42 me 36.

He was at the same uni as one of my school friends - she introduced us when I went to visit her. We met at 20, married at 25, so will have been together 10 years when our 30th birthdays roll around in the spring.

Met him at our local rugby club at his dad's surprise 50th. Been together 10 years this year and getting married next August - I'm 28, he's 34! Have a 5 year old and one on the way!

Met on the first day of Uni - we were placed in the same house together - he was in room 1 and I was in room 6. He was the first person I met at Uni as he opened the door to me and just grunted and walked off. Nice!

Fell in love over drunken games of scrabble and started going out over the summer holiday. Married three year later. He was 22 I was 23.

Celebrate our 10th anniversary next year.

In a student bar we were both very very drunk had a one night stand, met up again about 5 months after that went on a few dates then didn't see each other for over a year. Then i saw him in town started going out with each other and lived happily ever after the end

He was up a tree in a woods in Crawley just after the hurricaine. He was wearing fluorescent orange wet weather gear and had long blond hair. He jumped down in front of me, grinned and said "'ello" and zing went the strings of my heart!! Had a brief fling when we were in early 20's but then he went off to Belize for a bit, got back together in 1997 (both 28), me in London, him in Sussex, got pg with DS1, moved in and here we are 4 kids later LOL. We got married three years ago (our anniversary on 11th Dec)

Was briefly engaged to another bloke (least said the better!!) in 1992.

Also was married when I met my younger DP (my ex-h was 12 years older, Mum said make up your mind its either older guys or younger guys!)

I was the flirty friendly barmaid at the local, he is 4 years on still a rabbit caught in the headlights, with a ready made family & a ds of his own - bless him

well quite aromantic story for meeting dh (soon to be ex dh) as we met on holiday in turkey, 14 years ago. my first and last ever girls holiday. thought he was fab.
in 14 years hes not changed a bit, but i have which is where the problems lie. i have changed a lot, and the things that used to attract me to him, hes a bit of a bad boy are now the things that make me scream in frustration and want him to grow up and no0t be so selfish and moody!!! we married in 96 had ds1 in 97, ds2 2002 and dd in 2006. actually all went a bit wrong when pregnant with dd as apparently i did it on purpose!!!!

current partner only been together 5 weeks, but known of him for a while met on an internet site! so far so good but early days so not getting hopes up or really wanting to get too involved as only been slpit for dh for 8 weeks!
