As the title suggests...where did you meet your partner?

Also, if you don't mind a more personal one, how many times have you been married and what ages where you?

About 1992, on a ferry going to Corfu.

AOL, pretty random - he messaged me one dull afternoon and I usually ignore messages, but I didn't this time... when I replied to his question, he say "ok, I'll leave you to it then..." (I think he though I didn't want to chat) but I say "no, I am ok to chat" (or something like that) and it went on from there! We married 18 months later, he was 23 I was 19. We are celebrating our 2 year anniversary on Friday.

i bought a new phone contract and walked out with the sales bloke's number! 5 years 2 kids and a dog later, we're not married yet - but will be next year. i was 22 and he was 30 when we met, he's been married before!

I placed a WLTM ad in the paper as I work in a female-dominated environment and was having trouble meeting anyone. He was new to the city and wanted to meet people. We met ten years ago next April and were engaged 3 months later! We were married aged 30 in 2000. Two wonderful DCs. He is my one true love for life. He is everything to me.

He was my 16th birthday present from my then best friend - been together 20 years last May, married 10 week after next.

At work. When I first saw him he had his tool in his hand and a big grin on his face.....

Met DH at school, in sixth form. We were 16 He wasgoing out with a friend of mine, vary casual, non-serious stuff. Got together with him day they decided to split.

Met current dh in a seminar at university. I was the teacher. He was a student (... a mature student, though, it must be said). I was also still (though only just) married to someone else at the time. Got together about a year later, after my first marriage broke up. Got married 7 years later and have now been married for 8 years. I was 32 when we got married and dh was 35.

Dh1 was a school-friend's brother. Married him when I was 22 and split up when I was 24.

In Beijing. I interviewed him for a job, thought he was a bit weird! He hung around until I (eventually) agreed to have lunch with him. He says it was love at first sight, but it took me a little while to succumb! We were both already in relationships and it was all a bit painful. Worth it in the end though - we've got 2 beautiful babies, married when 28 and 34. Weirdly, he grew up only a few miles away from me back in UK. Oh, and he got the job

At Uni, I was in 2nd yr and was 18, he was a first year, though 19. We lived in opposite rooms in halls.

Started going out when I was 19 and he was 20, got married when we were both 24, almost 13 years ago. We also didnt move in together until we got married. He's the first and as far as I am concerned only Mr Harrisey.

1st ExH grew through out teens together. He went to uni, came back 3 years later, we got together then married when i was 22. were together for 7 years. then he went of with his receptionist.

DH (2 ! ) met through a mutual friend. He had been married ( to an evil witch, funnily enough) once before. 2nd time lucky for us. I love him to the moon and back and back and back.... and more... and fancy the pants of him, every time I see him. He's the most handsome man in the world ( IMO ) and just the best, at everything.... ( IMO )

We worked together. I thought he was a knob and he thought I was a stuck up bitch. Come the works Christmas do, a few drinks and a couple of class A's and bobs your uncle!! We met in the pub the day we came back to work after Christmas and he stayed the night and we were together ever since. Will be 9 years this Xmas. Have been married 2.5 years, he was 33 and I was 29. DD is nearly 6 and DS is nearly 1. No class A's are partaken of since arrival of DC's.

At a Job Club run by the Jobcentre. I was married to someone else at the time.

Ahem! I disposed of dh1 (not literally, obviously - no need to excavate my patio) before moving (swiftly) on to dh2, and even managed a quick fling with a chap 20 years my senior in between the two.

I think I am sullying the purity of the love-fest that is this thread.
