As the title suggests...where did you meet your partner? Also, if you don't mind a more personal one, how many times have you been married and what ages where you?

at uni. at the christian union.

married once we were both 21. that was 8 yrs ago.

Uni. Physics subsidiary lab in the first week of first term. started going out during summer vac...married at 25 after a couple of degrees apiece... nearly 21 years later still together.

(I used to drag him along to CU during that first year. somewhere along the line we both became atheists but still happily monogomous!)

I mean we really did meet at a gay bar- one of his friends was djing, I was with friends. Love at first sight,we moved in together 3 weeks later . It's now been 6 years.

That CU has a lot to answer for . Met dh at said same CU as ww and ja9; we've been together 13 years and married nearly 9 (we were 24 and 25 at the time).

dh and i were friends and we used to hang around in a group of 14 of us. I worked my way through most of his mates but stopped when i got to him. both on first marriage i was 25 and he was 29.

At uni, we both joined Nightline at the same time. Friends for six months, then engaged for two years, now been married for 13 years. Married when I was 23 and he was 32. First marriage for both of us

At work, I was 27 and he was 34, been married 4 years and both have one previous marriage each (don't ask)

we met at work (in a dept store...he worked in menswear, i was in jewellery)
i had been there for years and when he started all the old ladies were trying to set them up with their daughters and nieces.

but i got the prize!!

we were 22 when we met 22/23 when we moved in together and 27 when we got married. first and only for both.

When we were students. Admired each other from afar for 3 years, then went out for another 5.5 years until we were married, then 3.5 years after that until we had DD (although not our fault that one, I had loads of fertility treatment). We've been together 10 years all together. You might have guessed that we don't believe in rushing into things! By the way, both of us thought it wouldn't last a fortnight.

In a band, when we were both 27. Not married, but it has been nearly 10 years and the first marriage-type relationship for us both.

In a pub, he was 27 and I was 37, we were off and on for the first two years then moved in together, married 7 years ago, his first, my third.

In a Walkabout Pub in London. We got married 8 weeks later. Been together for 6 years and have 2 DC.

In Kastrup (Copenhagen Airport) and he proposed to me there 6 months later! (By arrangement, we already had the engagement ring). Was v embarrassing, in the "Take Off" bar if you're ever there.

First marriage, me=32 at the time, him=34 at the time.

In a maths lecture. We've been together for about 20 years, and married for 16 (only marriage), and are both 42.

We met in the pub, I was yelling "anyone got any condoms?" in the mens loos at 1:30am . We've been together 2 1/2 years and have a 1 yr DS.

He was 27 I was 31. Not married.

We met at work. He was the audit manager and I was a trainee. I was 23 when we met and he was 25. We didn't get together for another 18 months though so I was just 25 and he was coming up for 27. We got married 2 years later. We have been married 14 years now.

He is my first husband - I think one is enough.
