I was going to namechange for this but ah what the hell!
Ok so here it goes, I met a lovely French man six weeks ago. He is courteous, considerate, kind, sexy, funny etc. You may be asking what the problem is, well.............he never shuts up! Sorry that's a bit blunt but it is basically true.

I'm myself blessed in the gift of the gab dept but feel if I don't "pardon the pun" say something that this relationship won't go anywhere, unless
I zone out and keep nodding and umming in the right places, which I'm already starting to do. Can anyone advise me on how I can sensitively approach this with him?

TIA

MhamaiJane · 24/07/2007 20:00

Aghhhhhhhhhh he is interesting etc, I just hate having to feel like an olympic competitor trying to time when my next conversation move is. Oh and I could handle more talking during sex because he's also half Sicilian and ahem when he's turned his hand to a bit of Godfather talk, well you know. Feck feck feck.

Put a horse head on his pillow,

with a note to, 'Shut up or else....'

Desiderata · 24/07/2007 20:03

Such a shame, though. No one is ever perfect, are they?

GibbonInARibbon · 24/07/2007 20:03

hmmmmm

I would honestly find a jokey way of saying 'shut the fuck up it's my turn now'

jokey and more nicely put of course

RubySlippers · 24/07/2007 20:03

but great sex ...
that counts for a lot, again IMVHO

Desiderata · 24/07/2007 20:04

Then tell him you won't shag him unless he shuts up.

CountessDracula · 24/07/2007 20:04

sorry but if he loves the sound of his own voice then there is little you can do

MhamaiJane · 24/07/2007 20:07

OP posts:
TnOgu · 24/07/2007 20:07

Desiderata · 24/07/2007 20:08

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 24/07/2007 20:08

this is a little unsubtle but could do the trick

TnOgu · 24/07/2007 20:09

Well, M, if you loike him you may have to literally shut up and put up.
