Should I ask the plumber out?

Evening all!
Posting here for traffic & a name change!
I'm having some work done on my house.
The plumber is hot.
I'm a single mum (single for two years) 😱☺️with zero self confidence!
We've been chatting. There's a definite connection. I think.
No wedding ring and no mention of a partner (we have chatted loads)
I almost asked him today and then thought it'll be mortifying if he says no and has to return.
He's confirmed the job is done.
He texted and thanked me for the testimonial and said 'have a wonderful evening'
Should I just message and ask him out? Any tips on wording? 🤔

Sunbeamofthenorth · 29/05/2019 17:15

From experience check with him that he isn't already in a relationship that he isn't talking about

Yep, asked if he's single with the initial text. I mean, who knows for sure with anyone in the beginning?
Seems legit.
From someone who's only met men on dating sites for two years (3 of whom were not single) I am thrilled to have met someone in real life! And if he isn't single then it'll be au revoir monsieur plumber 😁
Thanks for (mostly) all being over-invested in this!

I'm a single mum too. Can't imagine meeting someone in real life. Well done you!

Pointless2 · 29/05/2019 21:22

No, these people are always chatty and helpful.

No, not my plumber - very nice but dead quiet Grin.

Hope you have a lovely date OP.

100percentplease · 29/05/2019 21:29

When is the date?!

Sunbeamofthenorth · 29/05/2019 22:05

We texted a few times. But firing out texts got a bit Confused so was chatting on the phone & arranging to meet in the not-too-distant future. This is so weird! Good chats though.
