just wondering really - im madly in love with dp - getting married next year - our relationship is great but lately, I have become a bit of a flirt with other men - completely harmless - I would never dream of taking it any further - but is this normal? do you all do it?

think it's perfectly normal especially on the continent and getting more so here. I do it apparently though I'm unaware of it

thegardener · 16/06/2007 21:22

Of course

Sixer · 16/06/2007 21:23

I would also flirt, just never get the chance.

Yes!

Aitch · 16/06/2007 21:24

i flirt with everyone, it's my MO. real life is easier if it's done with a bit of a smile and a wink.

Ulysees · 16/06/2007 21:24

have a friend though who grabs my guy and does all the girly giggling, eyelash fluttering

filthymindedvixen · 16/06/2007 21:25

god yes, very gently though. Always have done though. Even when I'm feeling minging, I can turn it on

Aitch · 16/06/2007 21:25

oh i don't flirt with men because they're men, though. that's weird and gross, imo.

BarbieLovesKen · 16/06/2007 21:29

oh thank God!!!

Thought I was being somewhat unfaithful - iyswim!

I am and always have been a complete and total utter flirt. It's perfectly normal and as long as you don't folow through, don't worry about it.

I don't think I'm capable of flirting, sadly - I'd look like a berk if I did. Although I suppose it depends on your definition of flirting - I'm thinking of the hair-twirling, eyelash-fluttering, cleavage-squeezing high octane variety.

Posey · 16/06/2007 21:40

As long as it remains just flirting, of course its harmless. And fun! And who objects to being the one being flirted with? Such a nice feeling and an ego boost that someone can be bothered to flirt with you!

Aitch · 16/06/2007 21:40

my dh is completely oblivious, but definitely likes that i'm cheeky. he'd never doubt me, he'd have no reason to.

Yes, I think so, definitely with women actually, less so with men, and I REALLY dislike men flirting with me. Have only just realized this. I go very po-faced and ask them cutting questions.
OH MY GOD, I must be so tightly wound.

ahundredtimes · 16/06/2007 21:47

And, on a roll now, I used to really hate dating too. Made me incredibly anxious.

Aitch · 16/06/2007 21:48

true, 100, i don't like it when men flirt back as they generally do it so clumsily. women, gay men and newsagents are better.

JodieG1 · 16/06/2007 21:49

I just started a thread about what flirting is but have no replies so maybe some on here can answer? What do you see as flirting? I think everyone sees it differently so would like some different opinions as to what it actually is.
