Ex accused me of giving him a STI

We've been on and off. He hasn't treated me very well. He's moving out of the area. Stupidly I had sex with him the other night. It was all very nice and intense and then the next day he contacts me asking if I've slept with someone else because he's got abdominal pain and burning when weeing. I said no of course not. I also pointed out that he would be unlikely to get severe chlamydia symptoms within 6 hours of having sex with me even if I did have it. Which I don't think o do.

I feel as if he is accusing me of something even though I've done nothing. It's confusing. He said 'oh well you're more promiscuous than me' just because I've had more partners than him!!

He has acute pain in kidney area and keeps running for a wee. To me this sounds like cystitis, but oh no he's convinced I've given him a STI.

He's just fishing for info op.

Next time, tell him to roll his own!

Electrascoffee · 15/08/2018 23:22

He's hurt me a lot and now I feel bad again.

You should get yourself checked though in case he’s given you something

dirtybadger · 15/08/2018 23:26

I assume you used a condom, and that he is well aware you don't get symptoms so quickly.

Agree he is fishing and for whatever reason wanting to try and put you down (not sure being promiscuous is an insult but I expect he meant it judgmentally).

Singlenotsingle · 15/08/2018 23:26

He'd better see his gp then, and find out what it is. No good guessing, he may need treatment.

Electrascoffee · 15/08/2018 23:26

Oh I see. Is that why he’s accusing me? I’m very confused.

OP posts:
Electrascoffee · 15/08/2018 23:29

Yes I told him he must go to the GP ASAP because clearly something is wrong. But he says he doesn’t have time to go. So he’s bought one of those test yourself chlamydia kits. He is utterly convinced that I’ve given him chlamydia.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 15/08/2018 23:34

There's a reason he's your ex!

C0untDucku1a · 15/08/2018 23:35

He isnt. He is lying.

Did you use a condom?

BoneyBackJefferson · 15/08/2018 23:36

You may want to go get yourself checked as he could in all likelihood have just given this to you.

bastardkitty · 15/08/2018 23:38

I would assume he's thinking he's given you something and has gone on the offensive before you realise what he's done.

Electrascoffee · 15/08/2018 23:41

No we didn’t because we only just broke up and we never did before having both been tested. Certainly i’ll get myself tested again. But I personally think he has something that is not an STI like Prostatitis.

OP posts:
Seniorschoolmum · 15/08/2018 23:43

What Bastardkitty said.

Guiltypleasures001 · 15/08/2018 23:57

I agree he's giving you a heads up he's possibly deliberately infected you

Or wanting to panic you out of spite

Electrascoffee · 15/08/2018 23:59

Deliberately? Really?

OP posts:
C0untDucku1a · 16/08/2018 00:04

Why did you break up?

Electrascoffee · 16/08/2018 00:07

Because he keeps messing me around. Saying he loves me. Then saying his last relationship has messed him up so he can't love properly. Crying & saying he misses me. And so on...

OP posts:
Mrstobe90 · 16/08/2018 00:37

That's he exact spiel a guy has been giving to a friend of mine.

Some guys just refuse to commit. If he's messed you around repeatedly, what makes you think he'll change in the future. Be done with him already.

Your soulmate is out there somewhere but how will you find them if you keep messing around with this loser that clearly doesn't give two shits about you?

Electrascoffee · 16/08/2018 05:20

No, people don't change I agree. And he's 50 so doesn't have the excuse of being young either.

OP posts:
Cambionome · 16/08/2018 08:15

Uurrgh - get rid. Sad

bethy15 · 16/08/2018 08:24

I echo the others here. I think he has something, but he got it from somewhere else. He's projecting it onto you, or telling you you'll have something now.

Get yourself tested. And always use condoms with someone like him. You may have only just broken up, but a lot of men start sleeping with other woman the next day.

MapleLeafRag · 16/08/2018 09:57

Another one who thinks he’s knowingly acquired something from someone else.

Please get yourself tested.

50 you say. How immature he sounds!

Electrascoffee · 16/08/2018 12:45

I personally don't think he has an STI at all. He probably hadn't slept with someone else (you can be an arse without sleeping around) because he's got issues about sex.

OP posts:
Electrascoffee · 16/08/2018 12:46

But I will get myself tested anyway

OP posts:
cakecakecheese · 16/08/2018 12:55

Get yourself tested then block all contact with him. He messes you about and isn't very nice to you, you are better off without him.
