Now what? I'm Shock & Hmm at this. I feel uncomfortable but he's persuaded me it'll be great fun and liberating. They have many group activities which I imagine will induce lots of jiggling of body parts. I have an uneasy feeling he's attracted by the prospect of 'innocently' noticing firmer, more nubile bodies than mine. (4 kids later) Wwyd?

I'd tell him to go get knotted. He signed you up without discussing it with you, what a nob thing to do. PMSL if he thinks it'll be young, nubile women. He can go on his own. I have no problem with nudity, but anyone who did something like this to me would be told where to go.

peppatax · 14/05/2017 19:45

Genuine question - so when you are shopping in a naturist supermarket, please tell me the customers are wearing shoes?

purplecoathanger · 14/05/2017 19:45

I'd tell him to do one. No way!

Teabagtits · 14/05/2017 19:53

Surely he'll have done his research and know it's mostly middle aged people? I find it really sad so many posters here are implying he's some kind of peeve, op included, when no one really knows his motive other than himself. Brits are such prudes when it comes to nakedness and there always has to be a sexual assumption when so many people don't think that way.

Teabagtits · 14/05/2017 19:54

*perve

Thephoneywar · 14/05/2017 19:59

Persuading someone of something is not coercion or abuse. People are allowed to persuade other people about stuff. If you don't want to do something it is allowed that someone else can try and persuade you to change your mind on something.

Persuasion is not coercion or abuse ffs.

GooodMythicalMorning · 14/05/2017 20:03

Yep its definitely the wrinkly oldies on Studland. Grin

Mermaidinthesea123 · 14/05/2017 20:03

Haha he won't find any nice firm buttocks to look at I can tell you. I went on my own for years and the average age is 75. It's like a nude nursing home Grin
I used to go for the sunbathing and swimming mostly and there are a lot of non sexual non perve rules. It was the only place I could go to relax on my own and not get pestered by men.
Anyone looking at the ladies obviously gets chucked out. They are extremely strict becasue there are children there.

MrsGuyOfGisbo · 14/05/2017 20:40

My paretns did this when they were middle-aged - had a great ime 9 my mum lost a lot of weight!
Whenever I have accidentally stumbled on nudist beaches ( Greece, Studland, Parsons Piece on the Thames in Oxford) have only ever seen oldish men, never seen a woman.

expatinscotland · 14/05/2017 20:46

'Persuading someone of something is not coercion or abuse. '

He signed her up for it without discussing it with her or getting her permission. Fuck that for a game of soldiers.

ZilphasHatpin · 14/05/2017 20:50

So your fictional husband is a perv and needs you to come with him so you can validate his presence. "If I'm a perv then you are too because you came and had your eyes open the whole time" "how can I be perving with my wife right there beside me" "if I was a perv I would hardly be bringing my wife"

ptumbi · 15/05/2017 07:48

My Dp loves a nudist beach - if we find one on holiday, he'll stripp off no problem.
I have loads of moles on my torso from a youth spent in Italian sun and I don't want to expose these to the sun now. I stay in my tankini. I spent enough on holiday clothes not to wear them!

My choice. His choice.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 15/05/2017 08:13

I'd be furious with my DP if he signed me up for something like this without discussing first. And I wouldn't be going. We live in Germany where it's normal for people to let it all hang out, but I don't feel any inclination to do likewise.

Elendon · 15/05/2017 10:23

Genuine question - so when you are shopping in a naturist supermarket, please tell me the customers are wearing shoes?

Yes, and often with socks on as well. I tells you. It's a sight never to be forgotten.

WellThisIsShit · 15/05/2017 11:42

OP hasn't been back I note.

Which is a shame as I was quite interested to hear more. Ah well.

QuietNameChange · 15/05/2017 11:46

Well

Maybe she's already at the nudist club?

peppatax · 15/05/2017 12:04

Thanks Elendon although I now can't that image out my mind I am pleased they are taking safety and hygiene seriously

LittlePeonie · 15/05/2017 13:42

Gotta be a troll post. No even ball-park normal man would just "sign up" his wife to something like this without asking her. FGS.

LittlePeonie · 15/05/2017 13:43

Probably why OP hasnt been back ...

NotTheFordType · 15/05/2017 13:54

He signed her up for it without discussing it with her or getting her permission.

The OP didn't say that.

TDHManchester · 16/05/2017 05:58

The suggestion that most/all nudist beaches/clubs are full of "older""middle aged""wrinklies" is incorrect. I have been on a fair few beaches that were clothes optional and seen some hot looking men and women so its not all about sexual titillation and dubious activity. That says more about the British err stiff upper lip and carry on attitudes to such matters.
