Does semen smell?

Not sure if i should have posted this in the mens room instead.....my best friend asked me this today and i have no idea! i have never noticed any smell in my (very limited) experience...she said it does....if so what does it smell of..what is it supposed to smell of

I've just realised I've not actually smelled it since I was pg therefore not using johnnies. I don't miss the smell.

I cant get close enough to know if i like it - the gag refelx prevents it

It stops smelling after a vasectomy (at least DP's did) so it must be the sperm not the gunk that smells. I've never got rice pudding though - more raw tomato

Certainly has a distinctive smell...not sure what it's like, but whoever commented re. pineapple is correct, apparently eating lots of pineapple makes it smell and taste much nicer (they do this on porn sets apparently)

That rings true then - I dont mind the smell 'on the way down' when my lovely body has filtered the whippers...its whilst they are still fully active that its gaggable

depends on what they've been eating. I usually think it is like a cross between fresh cut grass & bleach.

Whatever it smells of it smells rank and i do not wish to have the stuff anywhere near me tbh. Now if it smelt of chocolate.......

But does anyone know the calorific content? I'm guessing it's protein - which would be OK for Atkins but if not and I swallow, will I get even fatter ?

I sell millions of quids worth of chocolate a year and can eat as much freebies as I want. Catbabymummy has never commented on my Semen' taste/smell/colour going more chocolatey if I eat loads.

i am amazed at this questions. surely it is easy to find out - and if you haven't already, then open the bedroom of a boy between the age of say 13 and 17.

I'm in the bleach camp...definately smells like chlorine. In fact, went swimming the other day and had to have a damn good wash afterwards!! My lessthan DH has had a vasectomy and it smells worse now than before!! Did anyone see that TV program with Vic Reeves where they got three mad women to taste their husbands seman after their respective DH's had been on different diets......Nearly threw up watching the tele!!
