Does semen smell?

Not sure if i should have posted this in the mens room instead.....my best friend asked me this today and i have no idea! i have never noticed any smell in my (very limited) experience...she said it does....if so what does it smell of..what is it supposed to smell of

I think my dh's smells of pears and I hate pears the smell of them makes me gag as does dh's sperm.

OMG yes the jizz bush!!! There was one in the road I used to work in.

God I wonder if I dare try to find the name of it by googling

Definitely bleach. We bought some goat's cheese once that smelt exactly like it. It's known as jiz cheese in our house now! Maybe we should get a jiz cupboard to put it in

Oh, bloody hell Franny - it's not actually that but the Wayfarer Tree - however you have just reminded me of a time a presented an angry mob with their "Homezone" designs for their street... which included the "Ornamental Pear" as suitable.

Apparently the flower of the horse chestnut tree smells of sperm, so I suppose you could say that sperm smells of the flowers of the horse chestnut tree...

I think it has a fresh - but not altogether pleasant smell.

No. But lol at the thought. I showed them designs for the street and pictures of a Bradford Pear and they were calmed - most commenting on how beautiful the trees looked and how they were looking forward to having such a magnificent street.

Then I phoned the arboculturist...
Although I must admit he didn't actually tell me that they smelled like semen. He just said they smelled really really bad. Really really. Now I know where he was, er, coming from.

semen is two smells away from alfalfa sprouts in the smell chain, haven't read anything other than how this thread started. Get yerself to waitrose (or other chosen retail outlet) for a good sniff.

nearlyfourbob-I can't believe that someone thinks the same as me-I've always thought it smelt like raw batter pudding!!!!!

Whatever- certainly smells better on the way in than on the way out!

winestein are you some sort of horticultural town planner- cause you could defo do strategic planting, for example to prevent large groups of disaffected women hanging around in specific areas you would plant said pear tree and alfalfa sprouts. What would be the ultimate smell to disinterest the hooded yoof?

dt - on the way own it does not smell!!! i always think my fandango cleanses it of the stinky sperms

please stop me when this just gets too gross, but after a night hanging out in my fanjo the emissions smell like lost teenage clubbers in goa! Maybe there's too much space like an egyption catacomb?

slight but lovely smell of chlorine/bleach. One of my favourite aromas.
