Do you believe in love at first sight?

I fell in love with DP the first time i saw him, and i am still madly in love with him 8 1/2 years later.

Any other MNers had a similar experience, or do you think love at 1st sight is a load of cobblers?

I won't say I fell in love as soon as I saw my hubby, but I did know he was the one I was looking for. There was an instant recognition. It was kind of strange, since he wasn't the "type" I usually noticed, IYKWIM.

I fell in love at first sight. We became good friends, never even kissed. Now we are both married to other people!

Don't know whether it is love at first sight, but it is a "thing" that just turns up upside down, and is the thing that keeps you going when you are both knackered, stressed and dealing with all the crap that life throws at you!
Definitely happened for me, we were both coming out of bad relationships, not looking for anybody and it just knocked me for 6! Of course it was lust, but much more aswell, now been married for 4 years and have gorgeous DS. All sounds a bit Mills & Boon but i know how different this is to my first marriage, but it can't explain what "it" is!!

I loved my kids at first sight, instantly unforgettably and forever but not a man oooh no! Lust yes, like yes and attraction yes but not love.
