Where do single men hang out?

I am too scared to do online dating but I need to meet some nice single men, in their 30s or 40s. Where do they hang out? I'm not keen to go pubbing and clubbing, I'd rather join a club, start a hobby or go to some events. The problem is that everything I've joined has been full of women and OAPs. Where do all the younger single men hang out??

Take up mountain biking. Seriously.
It's 90% men, mostly fit and comfortably off. Where do you live? Most areas will have a club or group of riders who go off for an hour or two at weekends, often with a pub break or cake stop.

Try the gym, especially the sauna afterwards, plenty of 30s and 40s men to check out!

Rugged fit type sounds good! I'm in central London though so a bit hard to find outdoorsy types and opportunities for fell running.

or indoor climbing centres, unless you prefer chunky men.
Climbers tend to be be light & flexible but very strong

OK, this is good. What about anything less sporty? Or do I just have to grin and bear how useless I will be at rick climbing and mountain biking?

Running - join a running club.

Swimming very early in the morning.

For non sporty, Photography clubs also seem quite gender mixed with decenf amount of men

Volunteer with the Scouts - not only is it where I met my dh, but it's full of great blokes, and the proportion of men:women is good, and although some are married, or in relationships, other aren't.
From that, you can do all sorts of walking , cycling, climbing, outdoor persuits type activities.

Serpentine running club in London.

Or cycling clubs in general (Almost always far more men than women)

Go on an active holiday eg with Exodus. Biking, trekking, winter survival etc. They have single traveller departures too.

My book group in London has lots of men (tends to have the quirkier end of the man-spectrum)

German language classes had loads of men when I learned. (Italian classes full of women). Anecdata!
