BACKGROUND: Ex and I were together for about a year and a half. No children together. About 8 weeks ago we broke up because I felt he was really untidy in himself and his home and I felt unloved as he never showed me any affectionI don't know if he was having an affair or not but I really don't think he was. We broke up on friendly terms but he begged and begged me not to leave him but I thought it was for the best. We lost contact until 2 weeks ago when I was worried I hadn't heard from him (he has attempted suicide in his past) so popped around and he was fine, just lost my number as he lost his phone. He begged for us to get back together and we did.

PROBLEM: Last night I was over at his and we were just watching TV quietly when he suddenly announced 'I asked a girl out but she turned me down'. I asked him if he asked her out before he and I got back in touch and he said he did but WTF did he just feel the need to announce that? I DONT WANT to know who he asked out.

I thought size twenty for her and thirty stone for him.

mascaraohara · 02/11/2006 16:57

yes that's right FairyFly - that's how I read it too.

Women are never ever fat, no matter what size they are. They are curvaceous and gorgeous. Men are fat.

nailpolish · 02/11/2006 17:09

i disagree piglit

there are some really fat women around

nailpolish · 02/11/2006 17:10

Thanks for everything but all good things must come to an end. I was there for numerous members on mn through their trials and tribulations and now it's come down to it you are all making a mockery of my problem. It may seem funny to you but right now I feel like swallowing something and never waking up again. I really don't know what has happened to mn.

C'mon ConfusedAndBothered - I have no idea who yiu are, but I do think it sounds as if you have been very very soft-hearted with this man, and it hasn't resulted in hhim either showing you any tenderness or improving his persoanl habits. It sounds as if he has a very low opinion of himself, and maybe you have the same problem - because really, you should be looking after yourself.

He is rude and uncaring towards you, and he hasn't done anything to improve tings - so he won't!

You WILL find someone more caring.

I have to say I was shocked by some of these posts!
People can be very blase about other people's problems.
It is easy to say "dump him" but it isn't always that easy. If someone is upset enough to post I think people should respect their feelings, and not trivialise the issue

I think he wanted you to see that he was trying to make an effort to move on, probably hoping you would get jealous...

{hugs}

you lot can be shockers some times!
