Mouseface · 07/12/2014 01:56

Hello, I'm Mouse Xmas Smile

Welcome to the Bus, he's called Gerald.... he takes us up and down and this wondrous land, searching high and low for Babes in need of some support, a warm place to sit and chat, and to have someone to listen to them.

So, grab a seat as we swing by your way. There's lots of hot drinks, food and fleeces, places to just be and places to sit around and chat if that's what you want.

We don't judge, because we've all be in your shoes, be they stilettos, wellies or crocs!...

We're just us, we're just honest and we just do what we can to help, if we can, when we can. Let's try and have a Merry Christmas without getting off our faces this year. Xmas Smile

Here is the very first, emotional thread if you would like to see where this all started

And the last thread if you want to keep up!

Will you be counting units of coffee, Obrigada?! Grin

soupey1 · 08/01/2015 09:03

Morning everyone - it's absolutely miserable here, grey and wet!

dementedma · 08/01/2015 09:07

Boing!!!Grin
have wanted to do that ever since I joined this bus, but just never felt it.
Day 8 and 4lbs lighter.
jingle waving your bum in the air is now an official babes initiation ceremony.

SweetLathyrus · 08/01/2015 09:23

Bloody Brilliant Ma!

obrigada · 08/01/2015 09:34

That's brilliant Ma, still no boing here but hopefully some day soon.

Sweet, definitely going to go handy on the coffee today, starting healthy eating regime and going to limit the tea/coffee Hmm

obrigada · 08/01/2015 09:35

Morning Soupey, cold and damp here too!

Rubyredlips · 08/01/2015 10:48

Morning all. Blue skies, sunny and crisp here, I've just been to the shop to get some diet coke (not great I know but could be worse) and seen one of mums from school out running. i'm not doing any exercise until I'm sure I'm better. I'm ill a lot and determined that 2015 is going to be a healthy year.

Feeling a bit boingy today not full on boingy just a little bit.

Ma happy boinging today and great news about the 4lb loss and royal invite- haven't you been before?

Obrigada good luck with healthy eating, I'll join you soon Grin and for day 8. You too Sweet sounds like you have plans afoot and yes there is some choc in the house but it's the kids and I ate some of their maltesers and buttons yesterday Blush. Bloody nice though Wink

SweetLathyrus · 08/01/2015 10:50

Think my sugar levels are starting equalize. Still prowling the house looking for something to eat (to distract from marking and prep), but not really interested in anything sugary - now, if someone offered me a vegetable biryani . . .

I'm hoping that just cutting out sweets, which isn't much of a sacrifice to be honest (I can live without M&S Vegetarian Percies - just), alongside wine will be enough to sort my weight out for now.

SweetLathyrus · 08/01/2015 10:52

Morning Ruby Smile

Blossomflowers · 08/01/2015 11:24

Morning all, thanks for the warm welcome. Date was a bit pants sadly all was going well and then he announced that the thought of dating a "granny" was a total turn off. The look on his face was priceless when I said well my son does have 2 kids. Mind you we are talking about a man in his mid 40's wearing baseball boots on a 1st date. I did drink but kept it to 2 glasses of Red, so not feeling too bad this morning.

obrigada · 08/01/2015 11:34

Sorry to hear the date was a bit pants Blossom.

Hope my sugar levels equalize soon Sweet, I have been eating everything in sight for the last few weeks. Got on the scales last night and have put the best part of a stone on over Christmas (food constantly in mouth over that period, and I am not exaggerating Blush). So today is Day 1 of the new and healthy Obrigada [insert determined emoticon]

Rubyredlips · 08/01/2015 11:43

I very rarely lose weight even if I try, I did the Carol Vorderman detox one January, followed it properly, didn't drink alcohol and did exercise- lost 1lb Shock

I went to slimming world and didn't lose anything either- gets on my nerves. My BMI is in the average weight range but I'd still like to lose half a stone...

Blossom sorry date wasn't successful put it down to experience

Blossomflowers · 08/01/2015 11:46

Ruby Maybe that is your bodies way of telling you are an ideal weight for you. Half a stone is bugger all. Hey life is too short

Rubyredlips · 08/01/2015 11:51

Blossom you're probably right just something else to be obsessed with...

Blossomflowers · 08/01/2015 12:05

Sure there much nicer things to be obsessed by Smile

SweetLathyrus · 08/01/2015 12:23

Blossom you are well out of it by the sound of him! Well done for moderating, are you back to AF today?

Ruby, Blossom is quite right, unless there were some hidden calories you hadn't spotted, that is your body telling you it is a good weight for you, don't knock it!

Been out to browse for some new teas and cordials - came back with grapefruit and guava cordial - will report on that later. Giving Tea Pigs Superberry and the mint one a try. I was a bit Hmm about the price - until I reminded myself it is less than half what I would spend on a bottle of wine without batting an eyelid - and that would last me one evening; I would have to be going some to get through 15 cups of tea in a night!

Now, I just need to find somewhere that stocks Twinings Cherry and cinnamon, and I will be good for the rest of Jan.

obrigada · 08/01/2015 12:25

My problem is I lost 2 stone last year due to being unwell with undiagnosed overactive thyroid and now that I am on medication for it the weight is piling back on.

Blossomflowers · 08/01/2015 12:29

obrigada I have the opposite and underactive Thyroid, it took ages to get dosage right, have you been retested recently to check level, if right your weight should be stable, takes a while though.

Rubyredlips · 08/01/2015 12:43

Sweet but why does my body think it's acceptable to hang my stomach over my jeans? Grin. Let us know your thoughts on the new cordial and tea. I might just give them a go...

Raining here now....

SweetLathyrus · 08/01/2015 12:54

Ruby - it's the jeans - not you! I have always looked rubbish in jeans, even 20 years ago when I weighed 7 & 1/2 stone, jeans made me look like I had a potbelly (as opposed to now, when I actually have one!).

The Super Berry Tea Pig was really nice - curiously sweet and 'full' - not like other teas that smell sweet but taste of hot water.

SweetLathyrus · 08/01/2015 12:55

And just stopped raining here!

SweetLathyrus · 08/01/2015 13:13

just looked on the tea pigs website - they do sample packs of two tea bags. Ok at £1.30 that's a bit pricey - but it would be worth it to try a selection and find something you really like. they also give you a 10% discount code for seven days if you sign up with them Smile

Just tried the mint ones. OMG! i have never had a peppermint tea so strong, it is fab, fab FAB.

Rubyredlips · 08/01/2015 13:37

Just ordered chocolate flake tea and rooibos with creme caramel- a treat! V excited Confused Grin

Rubyredlips · 08/01/2015 13:38

Ordered from teapigs

Blossomflowers · 08/01/2015 13:40

sweet re AF probably not, have X coming for dinner and out on another date tomorrow. Just really need to moderate right now, have to say after 2 AF days and just a couple of wines last night and feeling a whole lot better. I might try doing dry during the week. Oh and lovely and sunny here.
