It's probably for the best Scrambled, he may have tried pleading begging talking you into changing your mind and meeting up with him.

Wrapdress · 23/11/2014 18:38

Scrambled - you cancelled Mr. "I Hope You Don't Cancel"? Geez, I would have done the exact same thing. I might have replied, "I'll cancel if I want to cancel, you manipulative twat" but I am kind of pissy today.

ScrambledEggAndToast · 23/11/2014 18:52

I'm looking forward to meeting Mr Tuesday though, will have to report back Grin

Docmartensanddungarees · 23/11/2014 19:03

Scrambled thanks for making me giggle! I have a friend who also does the immediate block thing if she decides not to meet someone or if a first date doesn't go well.

avocadogreen · 23/11/2014 20:31

Jesy oh no that's a shame, what happened?

so, I'm thinking of trying guardian soulmates, mainly because POF seems full of twats and I actually do read the guardian... anyone tried it?

Docmartensanddungarees · 23/11/2014 20:53

avocado I think it's great if you're in London, not many people on there from other areas.

DollyRocker1 · 23/11/2014 21:15

Soulmates is quiet even in London area.

ScrambledEggAndToast · 23/11/2014 21:53

Just spoke to Mr Tuesday on the phone, he sounds very nice and I am looking forward to Tuesday even more now Grin

jesy · 24/11/2014 08:15

Avocado

He.messaged me but not mentioned the date with me lol doesn't matter getting used go rejection .

OP posts:
jesy · 24/11/2014 09:02

Mr builder asked me out lol for coffee and cake at the local garden centre at weekend.
He did suggest one evening but I said prefer a day , but now think ive been to hasty.

My ex has just viewed me on pof , wouldn't be so bad but he just got engaged and I mean just , he was buying rings on Thursday.

OP posts:
gottafindaman4yagirl · 24/11/2014 09:07

jesy Mr Builder is not worth your time if he's done a runner. And I wouldn't feel rejected, he doesn't know you so how can he reject you on any personal level.
I have given my number to a man I have been messaging for a month on OK, kind of ignored him because he keeps asking if we can whatsapp.I gave in, he seems ok but if he starts sending me weird messages I will scream.
Mr young is gone, chatting to four men old, but I never get carried away with messaging and I like to meet up quick as possible.
Going to activate my pof profile today, will be prepared for a few rude messages.

jesy · 24/11/2014 09:15

Gotta

We have arranged something now .
I've just been a bit off this weekend ,every one I know is all loved up and happy.a d constant pictures of there happiness on fB ,twitter ect just got to me.

My only doubt with Mr builder is he is good looking and I'm not

OP posts:
SuperFlyHigh · 24/11/2014 09:48

scrambled good luck with Mr Tuesday. I've got the tune in my head, Monday/Sunday's my fun day Tuesday's my blues day... Confused

avocado I agree with Dolly - Guardian Soul Mates is quiet - also when I have joined there I've had twat alert come up (and a friend of mine same), a few arty or media type luvvies (the men!) - the stories from both of us... lets just say... nope.

If you're in London area how about Lovestruck? I will warn you got tons of men wrestling sharks etc and on their 3rd round the world trip and Brad Pitt's my bestie type shot but there are some ok men there. Or Doing Something? that can be quiet too and a bit vague. It doesn't flag up the smaller details.

gotta - it is such a minefield. I think that's why I've been avoiding OLD and POF.

jesy - I'm confused now are you seeing Mr builder or not? And i think beauty is subjective to be honest. Also jesy some men are twats re the one (Mr IT?) who's OLD and got engaged...

jesy · 24/11/2014 10:06

Super

Sorry my post a bit random lol when isn't it. But bad nights sleep a cat who wanted feeding every three hours lol

To confirm, Mr IT not engaged he seeing a lovely girl ( from what I have seen I like her) but his profile on pof .

The engaged ex was my first ever bf a few years back. Confronted him about profile last week and it disappeared but today he popped up as on line.

As for Mr builder things to be looking up lol
Apparently where going has a princess carriage at the .moment I joked about wearing princess dress and he said he'll go as a frog lol

jesy I understand being a bit off, I was in a miserable mood Friday because i knew I couldn't keep seeing Mr Young but didn't want to be alone but didn't want to settle. When I see couples on a Saturday walking along holding hands I feel depressed. Stupid I know, my EH wouldn't hold my hand or even suffer a shopping trip for me.
Builder sounds promising.
Just got a message from a man with screen name DinoBigBelow, cringe.

SuperFlyHigh · 24/11/2014 10:22

jesy - oh right... I'm less confused now! Smile

I will say again though, some men are idiots - your ex for one, good you confronted him but I think he will just ignore you... I honestly don't know why some people get engaged/into a relationship then shag around... cos that's what it is really isn't it?

gotta and jesy yes it's a pain seeing people happy (not in that way!) but when they're all loved up and it's Christmas and you know that what you'll have under the tree won't be some nice gift or soppy card from a man!

I've just found out the couple who was with the man I met on the volunteer picnic are moving soon... I actually saw them on Saturday in the stairwell of Sainsburys car park and recognised them but was too shy to say hello!

jesy · 24/11/2014 10:42

Super

I know he a cheat , I don't know if he ever cheated on me but I know he does as I was the other woman.

We dtd last January, both agreed Wed got carried away , I said these things happen, he said he felt bad as he was going to start dating this girl. Me being stupid didn't twig till I saw a friend's wedding pictures and there they were .
It was taken at least 6 weeks before.
Feel sorry for the girl he going to marry

OP posts:
gottafindaman4yagirl · 24/11/2014 11:00

super I'm going to spend the money I would of used for my exH on myself. There will be a pressie under the tree for me and a nice bottle of red, chocolate. I am lucky that I have my kids to keep me busy. My ex will be over for Christmas dinner, last year we got drunk and dtd which was a big mistake. Wont be happening this year.
Got a date for Wednesday with another bearded man, got to be in town for shopping so ill kill two birds with one stone. Only started to chat to him Friday so its soon but better than weeks of messaging and then possible disappointment.

SuperFlyHigh · 24/11/2014 11:39

jesy what can I say the man is a twat. The girl he's going to marry yes its nice of you to feel sorry for her but not your place to do anything (I wouldn't).

gotta that sounds good re the presents etc and about the ex - what can I say, we've all been there and done that. Seems like a good idea, wine, Christmas etc.

I'm just not sure now, do I start dating again from new year or not? Going to be skint next month anyway and could do without factoring in dates...

jesy · 24/11/2014 11:47

So
Super I won't do anything , his profile gone again.
But he going to hurt three people , including two little girls when he messes it up again .

OP posts:
gottafindaman4yagirl · 24/11/2014 12:22

super I think you should put yourself out there now, I am and I will be skint. Any dates I have before new year will be a meet up and a drink local to me. Will cost me bus fare and maybe a couple of drinks.
I don't drive so always go for local men and I make sure they meet where's convenient for me.
jesy He sounds like a waste of any woman's time, he probably doesn't know what he wants. Its not your responsibility regarding your ex and his new woman. He's got alot of power over you and he probably knows it. Can you just get him out of your head and free up space for a man that's worth it.
I had to get rid of any of the old emotions I had for my Ex H, who was my first love and partner for 12 yrs. I had to look at now and not romanticize the past or what we use to mean to each other.
Moving on and putting unworkable relationships out of your mind is best.
Are you ever going to be happy with IT?

jesy · 24/11/2014 12:27

Gotta

In away I don't care what he does. I'm curious nth, I once asked what went wrong between him n his child's mum he snapped at me and wouldn't say .

Will I be happy with IT you have confessed me lol
