Advice from the ladies!!!

My DW always, always, always deletes the history on the tab. Sometimes I see her quickly closing screens when I enter room. If it was a DW asking about DH the reply would probably be ‘he’s looking at porn’. But what about the other way around? I come from an all male family (no sisters, mother died young) so am at a loss to how you ladies think. What’s the deal here?

Also, women are people, same as you. So "the ladies" think pretty much the same way as any other human being.

She's on a message board. It might not be anything to do with other guys, it just might be something she might find embarressing if you knew.

I always clear the history.
Sometimes I'm looking for gift ideas.
or I'm reading trashy embarrassing news stories that I wouldn't want him to see.
Or I just like to keep things clear out of habit.

She's looking at pictures of fluffy kittens and when she's not doing that she's looking at pictures of boots she wants to buy.

Porn/mumsnet/gambling/selling weapons, drugs or people on the dark web/ buying you a secret gift/is just very protective of her privacy?

Well, I like reading trashy fanfiction - especially stuff about obi wan kenobi and star wars. I minimise that when Dp comes over.

Although women are claiming not to be mind readers, if you read most posts on here you would find them jumping to conclusions about the man, so don't worry. I.E if it was a woman asking about her husband in the same way, there would be a ton of "Well he's obviously hiding something!"

Is it just recent? maybe she's looking at xmas presents and the like...

If it's a usual habit I'd just ask.. maybe it is porn, I delete my porn history, so does my partner, he denies he watches it, if he didn't I probably wouldn't delete mine so his loss ;) lol.

But it could be anything from that, to health issues, or maybe she's writing about you on here?

Threads with ladies in the title tend not to go well. Often unfairly.

I do this myself. It's because I'm embarrassed by the crap that I end up reading as a result of being on MN. Or if I'm looking for presents.

I always clear my history too and I live alone.

I like being called a lady, it doesn't happen often :) I'll always take it the right way haha. Better than "you women" or whatever...

People are passing it off as "nothing" or making a joke, but if it was you gentlemen doing the same thing all sorts of suggestions and negativity pops up. It's never "maybe he's buying you a nice present" it's always "porn and another woman"

As yarp says.. maybe she's embarrassed too. Could be anything from "vaginal discharge" to "hardcore porn" she was googling! or it could have just been sky news and she's got computer OCD like me ;)

She's probably reading celebrity trash and is embarrassed by it.

I'm single, but I always delete my history - not because I'm looking at porn etc just because I just do.

And if you need to come back for any further advice, I suggest you NC and then just ask a question - cut out the patronising crap - folk don't like it

I have my various computers set automatically to 'delete browsing history on exit'. I also delete my text messages and emails when the inbox gets a bit crowded. I'm not up to no good.... well, not often. I just like a little privacy.

So I think you have to put this in context. Is there a reason why you don't trust your DW? Other than deleting the browsing history, is there something in her behaviour or attitude that is making you suspicious? Do you communicate well normally? Talk to each other about what you do online? Is your relationship generally good or are there problems?

FWIW I wouldn't automatically think a man was hiding something if the behaviour was in isolation .
