Superman top (long sleeved blue top with a big 'S' on the front)

would you dump him?

Forth date.

I'm horrified.

RayPurchase · 19/04/2014 20:21

lollers

hmc · 19/04/2014 20:22

Doesn't sound like there is much chemistry there (you mention his belly too). Perhaps not bother with a fifth date

MrsDavidBowie · 19/04/2014 20:22

Dump him

Ladyfoxglove · 19/04/2014 20:23

Meditrina sadly not Sheldonesque. Not even close.

OP posts:
RhondaJean · 19/04/2014 20:24

Belly did it for me.

Dump.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 19/04/2014 20:24

In my head it's like my DS superman outfit with a cape on the back. Did it have a cape?

neiljames77 · 19/04/2014 20:25

Can he back up his eccentricity with a good sense of humour or is he a bit of a twat?

VelvetSpoon · 19/04/2014 20:25

I think Snoopy would've been the dealbreaker for me!

I quite like a bit of Superdry. And GStar, or Abercrombie & Fitch.

My last date wore a Fred Perry tshirt, which was nice (although I, unlike him, am old enough to remember when they were fashionable last time round...Blush).

CurtWild · 19/04/2014 20:26

If it had a cape he's a keeper..even with the belly Wink

GoAheadMakeMyDay · 19/04/2014 20:27

Are you dating my big brother? That's the kind of stuff he wears haha.

Ladyfoxglove · 19/04/2014 20:27

Ericloves no cape, just a shiney blue Addidas jacket.

He was, in all honesty a fire hazzard that day.

PublicEnemyNumeroUno · 19/04/2014 20:29

What's wrong with a superman top? I'm wearing one right now (well its a superman t-shirt that was too small for DH, i wear it as pyjamas)

handfulofcottonbuds · 19/04/2014 20:29

Snoopy?!!

As it seems you don't like him with the Superman/Superdry(?!) and Snoopy off either, I think you have to end it.

Ladyfoxglove · 19/04/2014 20:29

Actually, he is rather funny and I dont mind a bit of a belly truth be told. I think it's the flamable super hero inspired clothing thats killing my interest

OP posts:
BuzzardBird · 19/04/2014 20:29

A shiny blue jacket and you are worried about a Superman t.shirt? (your spelling is shocking btw Grin)

Bogeyface · 19/04/2014 20:30

Oh dear.

I wouldnt dump him for the t-shirt alone but given his catalogue of crimes against taste, and the fact that he cant accept that he isnt a geek chic early thirties sex god, but an over weight middle aged footie fan.....yeah I would throw this one back.

Ludways · 19/04/2014 20:32

If obvious you have no respect or desire for him, let him off to find someone else who can be nicer to him than you.

Ladyfoxglove · 19/04/2014 20:32

shiny even

OP posts:
GoAheadMakeMyDay · 19/04/2014 20:32

Oooooh - not my brother he wouldn't entertain anything shiny or adidas.

I can't believe you posted about the t-shirt and didn't add in the jacket!

ShatnersBassioonOfChrist · 19/04/2014 20:33

If he's a nice bloke, and your only complaints are his t-shirts and paunch, you ought to stick with him. DH had a 'statement' hat when I met him FFS.

ShatnersBassioonOfChrist · 19/04/2014 20:34

Oh hang on, shiny sportswear adds a more sinister slant to this.

Fairylea · 19/04/2014 20:36

I think sometimes it's the little things that make you realise someone just isn't right for you. I once went on a date with someone who turned up in cowboy boots tucked into their jeans. I just cringed the entire date and walked as far away from him as possible. As shallow as it was and all that... just complete no no for me. Was like doing dating with one of the village people.

Ladyfoxglove · 19/04/2014 20:37

Arf! at sinister slant re sportswear.

Yes, not a fan of sportswear at all if not actually playing sport but the T-shirt choice has really got to me for some reason.

OP posts:
MaryWestmacott · 19/04/2014 20:39

Novelty t-shirts on the over the age of 16 isn't really acceptable...

Ladyfoxglove · 19/04/2014 20:40

Yes, I admit to being shallow. Fairylea I couldnt date a cowboy boot wearing man either.
