Hello, tis me, Mouse :)

This is a thread for those who are worried about their drinking habits towards alcohol, or/and drugs.

Even if you think that you are drinking more tonight than last night or this week than last, come and have a chat, find a seat, we don't bite!

We are a supportive Bus, full of very different posters, from various backgrounds. Some of us drink in moderation, allowing ourselves the odd glass or two as a treat, or just because we're in control of our drinking for that day.

One Day At A Time.

We have those who abstain completely, and those who wake every day to Day 1 and hope with all of their hearts that they can, and will, make it to Day 2.

If you've followed our journey to date, you'll know who most of us are by now :) and we kind of have two 'sayings', that sum up who we are -

1. • The Vulnerable Need Our Support, Not Our Judgement
2. • Alcohol Fosters Inertia

That said, we will not have any bashing of support groups, such as AA or Community Support Teams or even your own GP.

This Bus is a place for honesty, sanctuary and safety, something that has taken four years for a number of very special, very lovely, very honest and caring Babes to establish.

So, come find a seat, grab something warm from the supply cupboard at the back of the Bus as it's going to be cold tonight! Brrrr!

Hey isinde - don't let that ww lead you down that path to despair and disgust at yourself, this is just another opportunity to understand your triggers (or how the ww gets in) so you can do it differently next time. Use that anger to kick her in the you-know-whats.

I have been doing a bit of soul searching myself today, although I am managing to stay sober so far this month, I have a sense of 'temporary charade' until I can revert to type. It is not where I want my mind to be AT ALL. Ah well, work in progress.

Spanna - 9 days is BRILLIANT! You're just starting out on your journey to sobriety. Slips are normal, natural and not unexpected by ANYONE!! I slpiped so much you'd think I was an ice-skater!!!

Life's hard, day in day out, trying to keep that bitch in her bottle. You did 9 days which counts for so much more than you'll ever know. 9 DAYS!!!

Tomorrow's a whole new day. And it passes an hour at a time if need be, minutes, what's best for you. Keep posting because if you let it out, anything, post your shopping list...... whatever. Big hugs xxx

Yep :D It's used often in our house when dh gets things out of the box and can't get them to work. Right goodnight rural and beaches and everyone else

Well think it safe to say day 3 done, phew was so close to failure so many times.
Now to try and sleep insomnia awaits but a clear head in the morning makes it worth while.

I'm really struggling with being out of a controlling relationship been with him all my adult life, the reality is hard for me so I block it out with wine, when he comes round it's so hard but I really shouldn't be with him.

Big hugs to mouse and im Infact come on every single one of you group hug everyone, it's a bit tight but we can do it, transatlantic babes too xxxx

Morning babes, two weeks without wine but no boing! I suspect this is it and I'm going to have to dig deep to dredge up any sort of motivation to do anything. despite work, a house to sort out, two dds I sort of feel like my life is quite empty. I keep pn top of the day to day stuff but there's no real enjoyment in it. I alternate between feeling lonely and craving me time which makes no sense at all.
