Erm

Not sure what happened there

SAF. I have given it a lot of thought and put my full, frank, considered (after lengthy debate) and empathetic thoughts on t'other Fred

Grin

I hope you know I'm joking Confused

LoserNoMore · 23/06/2013 10:03

How long were you with brother number 1, SAF?

I'm not fit for much today, 4am I got to sleep. I don't need to collect girls until 3pm so I'm staying in bed till 2.45.

OP posts:
swallowedAfly · 23/06/2013 10:10

only a couple of months LNM and he was a complete arsehole which ironically brother no.2 was kind of trying to warn me of at the time as he's well aware of what he's like.

staying in bed sounds like a plan. i'm not dressed yet. about to have a bath. keep getting distracted by meandering little day dreams....

lazarusb · 23/06/2013 10:53

Dh had a vasectomy last year SAF and it's been brilliant Smile SO glad he had it done!

LNM, glad you made use of your free night. I hope you pick the girls up with a BIG smile on your face!

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 23/06/2013 14:26

oh wow you lot! I take DD to her besties birthday bash (disco) and help out with a bunch of kids for 3 fecking hours, have to spend time with my friends fuckwit, wanker, adulterous, lazy H and keep my cool and what are you all doing? Drinking wine, eating nice food and shagging!

I came home in a bad mood (due to her lazy H) and the first thing I said to my DH was, God, I love you so much and appreciate everything you do for us all! His reply: love you too, take it X was there and you had to spend time with the dickhead? Blush

Our other friend was there too - and she feels exactly the same as me, we have no idea WHY (actually we do) she stays with him... I just wish she had the balls and backbone of you LNM her life could be so much better, she just cant see it. Sad

Anyway, apart from that, been a nice weekend, got more garden things done and my DD goes away on school trip for a few days next week so been sorting out her 'stuff'. She is so good at packing, its hilarious.

Enjoy your Sunday. I am going to eat cake/chocolate/ice cream - got period from hell and I am a sugary twat, low carb is out the window!

HenWithAttitude · 23/06/2013 19:08

Drinking wine but no nice food or shagging here.

I'm feeling really awful PMTish. I feel murderous and miserable. I've been menopausal for years so no idea why I feel like this. Last night was the same. It's a definite feeling and reminds me what it used to be like. I feel like a rabid dog. Everything is irritating me, I've snapped at DD over trivia and I feel hateful Confused

Reminds me how grim PMT was

DP has just arranged a skiing holiday for Feb. Just this morning, an email saying do you fancy it? All arranged by 2pm. How lucky am I? He's taking me and DD and has sorted it all...exciting ....and I want to pick the wings off flies with grrrrrrr. Slap me

swallowedAfly · 23/06/2013 19:28

no, no slapping. i'd be more inclined to hand you a soft blanket and some chocolate, pour another glass of wine and invite you to let it all out. when you say 'been menopausal' have your cycles stopped or not?

HenWithAttitude · 23/06/2013 19:48

No periods for yonks. I'm on HRT

If I came on, it would not surprise me. I really feel horribly hateful. I've also been euthyroid for yrs and recent blood test showed activity so maybe my hormones have been resuscitated Grin

I've just googled the ski resort and its been a gentle slap. It's lovely and how lucky am I! I'm very excited.

lazarusb · 23/06/2013 20:09

Hen - you need chocolate, urgently! Nice news about your holiday Smile

HenWithAttitude · 23/06/2013 20:12

Ice cream. Ice cream with the choc?

I think so

imtheonlyone · 23/06/2013 21:20

Hello everyone Grin

Good to hear all is going well on the JD front Wink and SAF - I'm well impressed Grin

No action for me over the weekend - been on a cub camp with 550 cubs so any hanky panky was completely out of the question!! And tonight I'm just too darn tired!! My feet ache and shall be hitting the sack very soon - but for sleeping purposes only!

Good to see you're gonna take some more time off work - you won't regret it. Hope the pick up handover with ex went as well as it could do. I still hate handover time with my XH and we're nearly 4 years down the line now!!

Soooooo tired!! God knows how all those cubs are feeling!!

swallowedAfly · 24/06/2013 07:25

if it carries on hen do see the doc. no expert but hormones obviously do effect mood and sometimes need altering surely? like if you'd always been on the same hrt and dosage could your body move on and now the dosage is out or something? sorry not a clue about HRT really. i won't be allowed to take it - not allowed to take the pill either due to history of aura migraine and the additional risk for stroke.

back to work today and really got to get my brain in gear - have so much to do at work and home before we go on holiday in only ten days time. haven't much thought about holiday so it's snuck up on me now.

i hope the handover went smoothly too LNM and that you had a nice easy evening with the girls. glad you're not facing work today.

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 24/06/2013 12:41

Afternoon

Hope all went ok with ex. How are you LNM?

HenWithAttitude · 24/06/2013 22:30

Everything ok LNM?

LoserNoMore · 24/06/2013 22:48

Hi, I've done something to my back. Doc said its a trapped nerve or sciatica. Helpful. My legs just gave way this morning when I got out the car at school. All day it keeps going into the most agonising spasms. I've never felt pain like it, I'd rather give birth to a baby elephant 1000 times over. Painkillers aren't touching it at all. No matter how I sit, lie or walk nothing helps. I can't pinpoint exactly where the pain is. I had sciaticA when pregnant and it's a similar area but this is like nothing I've ever had.

Sorry, feeling sorry for myself. I don't know how I'm going to get anything done like drop dd's off and things.

OP posts:
HenWithAttitude · 24/06/2013 22:51

That sounds a bit extreme and sudden for sciatica

Can GP give you Valium if its spasming?

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 24/06/2013 22:57

oh no! This sounds like a trapped nerve. You need to get the inflammation down ASAP and the spasms stopped. Dr used to give diclofenac - but they are horrid on tummy, so they use other anti inflammatories now. I had diazepam for muscle spasms, but they knocked me out and couldnt drive, so I would drop DC off at school - take one when home along with other hideous meds and zonk out. My friends at school did a rota to pick up/drop off DC for me until I got physio/meds and pain under control.

You need to go back to Dr and get this under control quickly. I totally understand your pain. Its hideous. If it doesnt settle with meds then you need to go for an MRI scan to have spine checked.

Could have been all the exercise with JD. Wink

In meantime, hot water bottle - alternated with a cool pack on tender agony area and do some gentle stretches. and take nurofen and paracetamol or whatever you have that kills pain.

Lie on bed with knees bent - one leg at a time - bring up to chest and hold for 5 secs, then slowly back down and repeat with other leg. Knees bent all the time. Also try gently rolling knees together from side to side.

hope that helps. will check on you in morning.

Loulybelle · 24/06/2013 23:01

I still have sciatica nearly 6 years after DD was born, I still cant sit on the floor without my left leg going completely dead.

I feel you pain LNM, try ibuprofen if you cant take it.

LoserNoMore · 24/06/2013 23:03

The doctor is hopeless, I mentioned sciatica first as it was initially the left side and down my leg, I think he just went with it because I mentioned it. I've always had back aches over the years that had gotten worse with each pregnancy but never spasms with sciatica. It was a locus doctor with a bit of a language barrier. I have diazepam but only took one once girls were sorted for bed.

Somethingtothinkabout · 24/06/2013 23:05

Hi LMN, that sounds like something that happened to me a few years ago, I was taking the washing out of the machine when something went in my back and I collapsed , head into the drum initially, then onto the floor. I could only lie or stand perfectly straight and upright for a few days. I thought it was a slipped disc, but trapped nerve sounds more likely- that kind of sharp sudden debilitating pain.

It went away gradually over a few days but now, when I bend over, I can feel it threatening to go again, so need to be careful and bend with the knees.

Flowers to you. Take it easy.

LoserNoMore · 24/06/2013 23:08

Locum, not locus.

Oh Jax, checking on me in the morning just made me cry. Thanks

I have a hot water bottle. The pain is in my hip bones too ffs. Screaming into a pillow when the spasms start. The are becoming more irregular since I took the diazepam thank god.

LoserNoMore · 24/06/2013 23:11

Thanks somethingtothinkabout. It was like I had been shot when it happened this morning, so quick. Some lovely woman took me to the doctors which thankfully is only a minute from the school.
