Just thought I'd start a new thread, general chit chat, moaning, skipping etc before I go to work and incase the other one fills up.

It sounds like you've been doing plenty of working out over the last few days LNM WinkWinkGrin!!!!

So pleased you've been having some fun Grin I'm so jealous pleased for you!

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 18/06/2013 22:57

now you are talking my language! a proper scottish roll, slice sausage, egg and tattie scone. heaven on a plate.

A man taking me out for lunch and me as dessert... ah the good old days Grin

Bet you have a cheshire cat grin on your face, you lucky hen!

dont even give the ex any headspace - if he saw you, he'd let you know. And if he says anything, just smirk and give a big cheesy grin.

HenWithAttitude · 18/06/2013 23:26

Ah lots of sex... Distance memory. Haven't seen DP for a fortnight.

swallowedAfly · 19/06/2013 08:10

sex is fantastic exercise - i find it's the quickest way to effect a total change in body shape because it's so good for your core i think. anyho! very distant memory for me. must be one due...

love 'hens with attitude'. may have to be incorporated into next thread title. hens with attitude need no cockerel? why have a cockerel when you can crow yourself? hmm needs some working on.

not sure what to make of my HWA. appearance wise i really don't think she is a cockerel so i'm crossing my fingers and hoping she's just a bit special.

LoserNoMore · 19/06/2013 08:21

Morning, I'm pissed off this morning. I have another UTI. I've been drinking more water than a camel recently, fed up with them now. Been up peeing since 5am. Arghhhh.

Jax I gave in and made the tattie scones last night, I resisted the urge to put a fried egg on top though.

Hope you're still taking things easy SAF.

OP posts:
swallowedAfly · 19/06/2013 08:24

i'm not LNM and i'm feeling it. i went back to work too soon i think but can't really take more time off so need to push on through.

will you go to the docs? sounds like time for some antibiotics - can't remember if you had them last time?

LoserNoMore · 19/06/2013 08:46

I had antibiotics the other week for kidney infection. I'll need to see the doctor later, don't want to leave it.

That's a shame you can't take anymore time off, is working from home an option?

OP posts:
swallowedAfly · 19/06/2013 09:04

it is in theory but i think my boss' attitude will be either i'm well enough to be in OR i should be resting. we've had it before when i was ill one day and offered to work from home and he said no - not as 'get to work' but as in he didn't want to be responsible for me working unwell itms.

i have given in though. just walked ds to school and realised the idea of walking on to work was like envisaging climbing everest. i'm going to call him soon and tell him. dreading it but don't think i have any choice. i just underestimated how much a long surgery takes out of you because i've only ever had minor ops before and no real major wounds. ho hum.

HenWithAttitude · 19/06/2013 09:12

The cockerel may crow but the hen delivers the egg! (And doesn't need a cockerel to do so)

SAF. I thought you were back too early. Too much bruising and it all needs to recover.

LNM. I've never had cystitis but can imagine Hope you get it sorted

swallowedAfly · 19/06/2013 09:17

i think it's actually more the effects of 4hr anaesthetic and all the hardcore narcotic drugs after that's done me in than the wounds themselves. i'm just really easily worn out.

cockerels - all style and no sustenance.

LoserNoMore · 19/06/2013 09:44

I know what you mean about the GA. I had one last year and it totally floored me, I had low blood pressure and had to stay in hospital for a few days afterwards. It's not even been a week for you has it? Defintely too soon for work.

OP posts:
swallowedAfly · 19/06/2013 09:46

12 days. i went back on day 11. and yeah it was too soon. no reply from my boss yet hope he's not pissed off with me.

LoserNoMore · 19/06/2013 09:51

Sorry my days are totally mixed up! Well if he's pissed off tough shit. You've had major surgery, if you go to work when you're not ready it will set back your recovery even more which could mean you having to take more time off. He'll have to suck it up.

OP posts:
lazarusb · 19/06/2013 10:12

Agree SAF, you need more time.

Sorry to hear about the cystitis, I've only ever had it when pg - horrible. Cranberry juice by the bucketload. Glad you had a nice lunch Smile and an even better afternoon!

swallowedAfly · 19/06/2013 11:03

my last shag fest of a couple of months run was punctuated by what i've discovered is called traumatic cystisis or some such. basically too much shagging Grin was in a muslim country which made for fun trips to the pharmacy with me and the guy responsible trying to explain the problem.

worried about nothing - just had a lovely phonecall with my boss. i am really so lucky to have found this job despite the shite pay. redundancies are on the way due to funding cuts though so i really hope i still have it at the end of the month when the consultation period is over. fingers crossed.

have you made an apt yet lnm?? get thee to the doc.

HowlerMonkey · 19/06/2013 11:30

Dried cranberries and cranberry juice - very effective for cystitis. A friend also swore by drinking half a pint of water every half hour for as long as you can stand it, as well as taking 2 paracetamol every 4 hours.

Envy of the good time you're having!

LoserNoMore · 19/06/2013 11:55

I have an app this afternoon. Told me to bring a urine sample but I don't have a sample bottle Hmm Looking around for something acceptable to pee in...I really should ask for a supply of bottles to keep at home the amount of times I keep getting uti's. I'm always really good going for a pee straight after sex as that's meant to help prevent them

I'm glad your boss was understanding. It's one of those things that can't be helped. Fingers crossed with your job too.

OP posts:
LoserNoMore · 19/06/2013 11:56

Thanks Howler, I'm really not keen on cranberries but will force some down.

OP posts:
ChipsNEggs · 19/06/2013 12:36

UTI's are bloody horrible. If you starting to get them more frequently coincided with starting using condoms again it could be the spermicide causing irritation. Get some hypoallergenic ones without spermicide and it might help.

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 19/06/2013 13:58

cranberry juice and cranberries are no good when you have a UTI - they are only good for keeping the bad bacteria away before/after.

You need antibiotics because some UTIs can be hard to shift completely.

Got a local pharmacy nearby? Pop in for a sample bottle if you do.

HowlerMonkey · 19/06/2013 15:14

Oh, I completely agree Jax - antibiotics are necessary to shift a proper infection. Cranberries won't do it alone!

HenWithAttitude · 20/06/2013 07:11

Morning

Another sunny day here and what I want to know is when LNM is eyeing JD again

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 20/06/2013 07:36

morning - cloudy at the moment, but its warm - temp got up to 27C here yesterday and I got a little bit lobstered. But its ok, it will go brown soon.

I have absolutely nothing to do today. Well, apart from the usual stuff that we mums have to do every bloody day... and go to post office but thats it.

Nothing in my calendar to get done so Im going to chill on my new patio which is finally finished and looks absolutely brilliant. (It doesnt take much to please me) Grin

LNM hope you got some meds and are on the way to no more pee pain.

Have a lovely day everybody.

lazarusb · 20/06/2013 09:55

Humid here. A thunderstorm this evening would be fab.
Hope you're feeling a bit better LNM. I would've killed for antibiotics but as I was pg when I had cystitis, my GP wouldn't let me. It was NOT fun!

LoserNoMore · 20/06/2013 11:01

Yeah got some antibiotics despite the sample coming back clear.

Lazarus, the first time I had a uti I had no idea what it was and suffered for days. It's horrible being scared to pee.

HWA, no plans as yet. I'm playing it cool Wink

Jax, hope the weathers better where you are and you're catching some rays on the patio! Please put some sun cream on though. Just a wee bit even.
