I should be revising

or marking

oops

themidwife · 13/05/2013 22:35

Yes a lot of women anxiously ask when I'm going to teach them to "breathe" in the parents to be classes but I always say don't worry, you already know how to do that but your birth midwife will guide you if necessary.

Yeah definitely. Just go with it - the primitive you will take over if you let it.

cafecito · 13/05/2013 22:54

I am battling my laptop
It has deleted my assignment Shock it crashed earlier, I had a 3 hour gap and wrote 2000 words of genius Hmm
ALL GONE

cafecito · 13/05/2013 22:55

I never went to antenatal classes, I just winged it Wink was a bit loud I think, but did the trick. Not looking forward to delivering babies to be honest, I have to get so many signed off, persuading the mums is half the problem and the other half is the fact I am so risk aware due to my previous incarnation that it terrifies me! I would find midwifery very stressful I think

cafecito · 13/05/2013 23:00

I want a hypnotic gastric band. I have been eating excessive amounts of sugar since my last set of exams, have ballooned Hmm I'm not obese, or fat, but I am considerably bigger than I should be. It's kind of habitual scoffing late at night and always bad things, or good things, but too many of them..

cafecito · 13/05/2013 23:01

I'm quite stressed. I have to do 5-7000 words by Wednesday now. I have a full itinerary tomorrow. I currently have.. a title *sobs

cafecito · 13/05/2013 23:04

this was set back in February Hmm

Sad if Bears has gone - Sad it's an emotive subject and many manh people cannot breastfed for all sorts of reasons. AFAIK there has been no contamination in the UK, but there has been in China (?) but there were cases abroad a few years ago too. Very sad for the families involved. FWIW DS had formula for quite a while, I did breastfeed til he was 10 months but I had to add formula from about 6 months and he was on aptamil til he turned 2.. DD had aptamil when she was about a year old. Both refused SMA etc. fussy buggers

cafecito · 13/05/2013 23:06

Harriet, I will be your Doula!

Grin personally, I would have hated a doula but only because I am seriously antisocial so any extra people would have pushed me over the edge to homicide

cafecito · 13/05/2013 23:08

Yes, your old lecturer's remarks are reassuring. At least I have an idea of the order of what I want to say now. Sigh. what's a kernel error? It's
new and has crashed repeatedly

waves to all!

went to an amazing talk tonight by a very experienced consultant, was brilliant (in the MrsShrek line of things)

themidwife · 13/05/2013 23:13

Doulas are useful at hospital births I think cos they're so short staffed the midwives can't be with you. At home births not really necessary IMHO just cos that's what we are there for really! You get 2 experienced midwives at a home birth anyway.

Oh no Cafe - you must feel like crying - how awful! Sob indeed!

I'm feeling a bit post op with an aching stomach - weird!!

BlueyDragon · 13/05/2013 23:15

Kernel error = misdirected apricot or poor army tactics Grin.

I'm still sniggering after going to order some replacement bits for my cooker and finding one of them described as "knob - cooking area". Ouch.

cafecito · 13/05/2013 23:24

how do I get hypnotised themidwife?

I was just rummaging in a cupboard looking for a USB stick and the shelf and boxes of filing fell down and smashed a VERY precious large glass light Shock and someone tripped and fell and injured themselves badly on the steps today at the royal festival hall, as I was walking behind them en route to coffee. It's one of those days where I am nervous at what will happen next

cafecito · 13/05/2013 23:26

*snigger at Bluey Smile

ouch at Harriet PPH [eek] HBs make me a bit nervous but I overmedicalise everything, natch Wink

BlueyDragon · 13/05/2013 23:26

kitty, how's mini kitty following her sudocrem feast?

mini, so sorry to hear about your FIL. How is he doing?

MrsShrek3 · 14/05/2013 00:11

oooh café, what was the lecture? [nosey]

kernel error sounds nuts to me [boom boom]

I don't understand half of what was going on here since I last posted
Bluey sounds drunk, Harri is bonkers, mw is on drugs call or something, and café is bleeping Grin
Please take no offence, hopefully I have just insulted pretty much everyone. Wink Feel free to trade some back, ta.

cafecito · 14/05/2013 00:34

It was a consultant forensic psychiatrist and psychologist, was really really interesting -would tell you more but would be a. perverse and b. I'd be identifiable!

I am sat here wondering how to restart my assignment, suspecting I might stay up all night!

OOOOH I, foolish I, of overloaded self, now have an editor Grin I have deadlines and articles and such like to write

cafecito · 14/05/2013 00:35

mini sorry about FIL. I read Bluey's post as 'mini's sudocrem fest' Blush

I have never written an article in my life - scared
