Dd was admitted to hostpil earlier this eveing shes staying in over night. Cant see her at min just want to hug my baby girl

Sadly it is she self harmed got blue lighted there feel fucking useless here but spoke to her step mum dds had bloods taken going to call ward in morning for update.

So sorry, stars! What did she do? Am not being ghoulish but have a bit of experience within my own family of self-harming and OD-ing! x

Took 20 somthing parasentmol and cut her arm. Hasnt really sunk in yet just want my baby girl here with me just waiting to see if we can get her here for a few days would ss be invouled as she is under 16

ss shouldn't really be involved (but can't recall the terms on which she is living with her dad, so I might be saying the wrong thing there)
her gcses are next year, aren't they? just thinking practically about school-moving and so forth
was it def 20?

CAMHS would be involved I imagine she might need a CPN or some kind of follow up arrangement to be seen as an outpatient

the good thing is, that she is in there and they will be thoroughly assessing her and will have given any treatment required. She is in the best place, and it's good that she is there.

So sorry, stars. Your dd will be ok from the effects of paracetamol (believe that it is no longer lethal - am sure that others will correct me if I am wrong).

Think that your dd will now be offered care from specialist psychiatric unit; it's not as horrifying as it sounds!

they'll be doing what they can medically re the OD at this stage, stars. I'll be around for a bit tonight.
I took a hefty paracetamol OD when I was 13, btw. It was ok but I was in hospital for a week (had other illness) I then moved schools after that. I never took another overdose. she'll be okay.

hi jynier. jynier's right it's not horrifying.
paracetamol is a very bad thing to take but there are various treatments and then drugs she will be given to prevent toxicity. If she got there fast, they'll give activated charcoal and then another drug which stops liver damage.

if she took them all at once it's better in health terms as less will have been metabolised

I wide awake but did fall asleep had a massive headach from 6pm which be from stress.

Yes cafe we both dp and myself want her here perm now and sort schools out after. Shes a bright button so be fine to re take at 6th form.

Spoke to my mother 4 yes 4 times last nights and was she saying the same thing. Though ref self harming I had to explain that to her.

Shes 3 hours away by car so going to spk to ward in a bit and see if shes likeky to be there another etc. But was told by ex that she didnt want to see me last night.

She has a massive prob with food since the age of 10 not self image but uses it as a control thing (puking ) so maybe the self harm is the thing up whuch ex doesnt care about. He thinks its a act and that deppression is people being lazy.

Did spk to dd a few weeks ago and she said about feeling low so did talk to her she was upset as she tried ro speak to ex and he said yes theres mental illness in your mums family infact your mums family are full of nutters !!!! ( are you seeing a pattern)
