Update on ILs. PIL is due to be discharged any day soon. Amazing. Next challenge will be how they manage at home. The good thing about this happening is that MIL has been properly assessed and hopefully they will get some support. Fingers crossed.
Cafe, just put the book under your pillow and the knowledge will transfer itself into your head while sleeping. Ever helpful, me. Oh wait a minute, you don't sleep.
Lines up with Stars for cheer leading lessons.

themidwife · 05/06/2013 18:34

Hope PILs get all the support they need Mini!

Dear MrsShrek - have been thinking about you and yours while I have been off the thread; don't really know what to say but am sending best wishes. Must be so difficult for you all, x

themidwife · 06/06/2013 11:38

themidwife · 06/06/2013 12:37

Yeah Sad

Minimammoth · 06/06/2013 17:06

That's tough midwife. Couple counselling? Sending hugs.

themidwife · 06/06/2013 17:35

Yes maybe. If he'll agree but he wants to just see each other but live apart. We have for the past year so far but had planned to live together again but he's done a u turn again.

jynier · 06/06/2013 23:00

Just logged in; so sorry that so many of you are dealing with awful sadness, trials and tribulations, x

cafecito · 06/06/2013 23:41

oh themidwife Sad in other words have cake and eat it? I don't see the logic, if you like being with someone enough to want to see them Confused having said that - maybe he just needs time? I'm only saying this because I know right now I am avoiding people who I really enjoy being with, just because I have to Confused
totally different to be on the receiving end - but I know one day I'll be back to normal and want to see them, I just am on another plane and need some serious time out. I do hope there's a realisation before it's too late on his part. How are you feeling? Have you friends nearby for support?

cafecito · 06/06/2013 23:45

Hello everyone. I'm glad you're seeing them before they go back Jynier Smile have you got special plans or lots of GC hugs etc?

I am now writing a list. of all the things I have to do. it's a very scary list it spans half a notebook of A4

Minimammoth · 07/06/2013 02:13

Ho hum. Thursday night is lurgy night. Scratch scratch.

themidwife · 07/06/2013 02:23

Hi guys I'm up too. Hope you're either studying or sleeping Cafe. What's set you off Mini? Hi Jynier glad you saw your family before they left. Smile

Minimammoth · 07/06/2013 02:29

I think it's a combo of delicious Stilton and asparagus quiche had for lunch in town, smoked haddock kedgeree home made. Stilton does sometimes trigger and smoked haddock, variable. Humph. Got a working weekend too so needed the rest really. You still running emotions or working?

themidwife · 07/06/2013 02:39

Running emotions. Could def not MN in my job!!

themidwife · 07/06/2013 02:39

PS Hate Stilton but the kedgeree sounds yummy!

starsandunicorns · 07/06/2013 07:33

Is slighty flagging with the pom pom waving ( did it night too) looks around EMPTY hall but has 3 red bulls to perk up and shouts in squeaky voice
Give a C
Give a A
Give a F
Give a E gooooo Cafe yeahhhhh whoop whoop your the best whoop whoop ( shakes tail feathers)

Awaits for reinforcements ( taps foot )

Minimammoth · 07/06/2013 08:03

Throws pompoms at cafe.

BlueyDragon · 07/06/2013 11:45

Me and my tail feathers are there, Stars, although a bit battered and bruised after having my deep vein access taken out yesterday. I remember a lot of tugging going on and now I have the bruises to prove it. Still, that's the end of chemo so it's all good.

Hugs for midwife, anti-histamines for mini and brain power for cafe.

Minimammoth · 07/06/2013 12:48

C'mon Cafe.
That's it from me. Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Am back Monday then off to USA. Wheee.
DH visiting ILs fingers crossed.
