Goede morgen allemaal

I'm finally off Dutch's laptop which is where I've spent a good part the night. The Dutch do indeed serve their coffee hot and strong. I think we may have broken each other GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

ike1 · 02/05/2013 16:01

I have found out something very interesting about Mr Ruse....unfortunately I sound so deranged in my e-mail to him I doubt he will ever get back to me .... oh well.

KinNora · 02/05/2013 16:03

I'd be tempted to stowaway, personally.

Velvet apropos nothing, I'm loving your use of 'peevish', it's an excellent way to describe that niggly, irritable state.
Is it your expectations of C that you're deeming unrealistic ? ( if that is the case, I'd say that unless you're hoping he's going to turn into a billionaire Johnny Depp lookey likey who turns up at your office, picks you up in his arms and carries you out in an Officer and a Gentleman stylee, you don't have unrealistic expectations).

Ike you rascal, midweek partying and Lycra'd men sniffing.

KinNora · 02/05/2013 16:03

What ? What ? I need to know

KinNora · 02/05/2013 16:05

Perhaps Juliette's giving it the full Kate Winslet as we speak -' Near, far, wherever you are, blah blah the heart must go onnnnnnnnnn'

WarmFuzzyFun · 02/05/2013 16:08

Grin@ Kin

HeyBeenTryingToMeetYou · 02/05/2013 16:14

Blimey, I've just been on a date! My first proper date ever, that is where you go out with someone before you've shagged them

It was fun. Lots to talk about, no awkward silences, bit of nerves to start but that settled. No spark romance wise, but all in all a positive experience. I also now totally get how it is possible to OD for 10 years and never meet 'the one'. This attraction game is a funny old business.

HeyBeenTryingToMeetYou · 02/05/2013 16:14

Oh and massive hooray for you Juliette Smile

Excellent news Hey, that's your cherry popped then. It is a very odd thing, the whole 'chemistry' business, you can get on really well with them, they look quite attractive, don't chew with their mouths open but nada, no spark.

KinNora · 02/05/2013 16:24

No harm in looking and admiring Wine

ike1 · 02/05/2013 16:25

Could you MAKE the spark happen by shaggin their brains out though?

VelvetSpoon · 02/05/2013 16:27

Hey, well done for going! Ok so no spark, but at least you're over that first hurdle. So it's all good :)

Kin, yes C related. He is about to go away for a bit, I KNEW (almost certainly) he'd be busy beforehand but I thought I'd ask anyway. And he said he was, which I expected. So I have no reason to feel pissed off but I am, which is utterly stupid. I have thought to myself is there anything he could've said to have made me less pissed off, and other than yes, I don't think there was. I just need to get over myself.

KinNora · 02/05/2013 16:33

Ike why you no tell me about G. Ruse's interesting secret ?

Velvet I think it's understandable to be pissed off, if it'd been you going away and he'd asked you the same question, what would your answer have been to him ?

HeyBeenTryingToMeetYou · 02/05/2013 16:38

It's great to be over that hurdle Velvet, I did have a 5 minute 'Argh, I'm not going' attack, but had a word with myself. It's always disappointing to be told 'no', when you wanted a 'yes' answer, even if you knew it was the most likely outcome.

Yeah, looking for that spark is pretty elusive I guess Kin, I don't think the old fake it to make it thing could have worked in this case Ike but I am more than keeping that option in mind for future blokes.

Glad you feeling better wine, I was delighted to be told (via OD) earlier by a young un that he would certainly 'be prepared to give me one'. Blocked.
