Morning all Smile

I am reading. Just lack of time.

My mum is doing fine so far, spending alot of time there. Lots of work on. Since the 'L' word with Mr R&R, things have got even better.

Lots of good stuff going on, happy for you all.

OWW So sorry about the crap with your mum. You handled it so well. You are amazing Grin

Snapespeare · 22/04/2013 08:05

kin your ex 80s band member & comedy writer ... is he from liverpool? if so expect him to be exceptionally bitter about his ex wife (it was TEN YEARS AGO! leave it!) & to be slightly patronising in the way where he thinks he's smarter and funnier than you. he isn't. Grin Wink Wink

Snapespeare · 22/04/2013 08:07

i see you've already got his measure! Wink

KinNora · 22/04/2013 08:15

Bloody hell Snape that is the very man ! Hasn't 'got time to engage in exchanges about semantics with window shopping women' ? Bitter as Barry Bitter, Professor of Bitterness at Sour University.

KinNora · 22/04/2013 08:16

He tried to patronise me, I pwned his ass.

Snapespeare · 22/04/2013 08:27

he might like to address some issues. Grin i had two pints of cider with him on a pub on the strand. there werent any red flags until i got there, but i'm not overly fond of being talked down to by merit of vagina possesion.

wonder why he's still single....? Shock
Grin Grin

Snapespeare · 22/04/2013 08:29

oh! and his photos were very flattering....

KinNora · 22/04/2013 08:35

He's tried my profession and failed at it ...

SweetSeraphim · 22/04/2013 08:47

Who is it? I'm from the 80s! I need to know, goddammit! Wink

KirstyWirsty · 22/04/2013 08:48

I have a coffee date with a potential FWB tomorrow .. He messaged me last night to say he can go all night and not come .. Should I be worried or excited??

Morning all

SweetSeraphim · 22/04/2013 08:48

That would bore me to death Kirsty, wouldn't it you?

KinNora · 22/04/2013 08:50

Don't think he was actually famous Sweet except in his own head

KinNora · 22/04/2013 08:51

Kirsty sounds dull and chafey to me too

KinNora · 22/04/2013 08:54

Probably good that I didn't give into my impulse to say he sounded like David Brent and ask how Equality Street was selling ...

WarmFuzzyFun · 22/04/2013 08:59

Morning All!

Grin @ 'sounds dull and chafey to me' (Hey twinny)

Feeling sorry for myself this morning, work/job rubbish mostly. And I have a cold I am fighting.

Lab is tasty and being a very good dog (woof!)... I am being insouciant, well I am trying to be anyway. ('Tis all BS until it happens...')

WFF

SweetSeraphim · 22/04/2013 09:12

JulietteMontague · 22/04/2013 09:14

if memory serves me correctly, they had one top 20 'hit' that was played to death on all major radio stations and then disappeared up their own arse This is fundamentally unfair when prof. Brian Cox was in D:Ream, but does not appear to be trawling on OKC (reminds self is in delightful non prof. Brian Cox relationship and has lovely, lovely bf)

Bant · 22/04/2013 09:32

Is it that bloke out of the La's?

SweetSeraphim · 22/04/2013 09:40

'There She Goes' was allegedly about heroin. I personally don't think it was, but they went with the rumour because it made them seem slightly more interesting Grin

Bant · 22/04/2013 09:45

Ooh ooh. 'The pale'? 'Dogs with no tails?'

Scrazy · 22/04/2013 09:51

I want to know which band please or have I missed it?

SweetSeraphim · 22/04/2013 09:52

"There she goes again... racing through my brain... pulsing through my vein... no one else can heal my pain"

From Wiki:-

When asked about the rumour in 1995, the group's bassist John Power replied, "I don't know. Truth is, I don't wanna know. Drugs and madness go hand in hand. People who you've known all your life... they're steady, then they're not. But you can't ponder, 'cause it kills you, la.'"[2] However, in the 2003 book In Search of The La's: A Secret Liverpool by MW Macefield, ex-La's guitarist Paul Hemmings denied the rumour and added, "Jeremy Fisher, you don't know what you are talking about." In an interview with the BBC, lead guitarist for the single John Byrne also denied the rumour, stating "It?s just a love song about a girl that you like but never talk to."

I suspect it's the latter. But they were kinda desperate to be hip. I only like the song because it's in So I Married An Axe Murderer Grin

Bant · 22/04/2013 09:53

Me too. Is this morally wrong, to out an OD dater after he's proven to be unpalatable to two posters on here?

It's not limahl is it?
