OP posts:
SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 11/04/2013 13:09

I'm not getting anything but dodgy messages. This is all on POF. OK I'm not even getting messages Grin

Think Ill just become a crazy cat lady

KinNora · 11/04/2013 13:10

You're a month older than me then, WFF.

The thing about Labs is that they can be quite good at coming back when called. What's the deal with Back Burner man ?

KinNora · 11/04/2013 13:12

zzzzzztttttttzzzzzzzzzzzz charging crash carp

WarmFuzzyFun · 11/04/2013 13:15

Back Burner has been messaging me since about the time I got with Lab, went abroad for work until middle of this month. Tasty photos, and smart/intelligent banter.

Now Lab has just sent message, saying: 'This is just to let you know that I am thinking of you'

WarmFuzzyFun · 11/04/2013 13:17

A month older but sadly very much not the wiser Kin

Right what was that rule about 'Not emotionally investing too soon' or perhaps 'It's all BS until it actually happens'. Which to choose?Hmm Smile

KinNora · 11/04/2013 13:18

Not exactly in the spirit of the crash carp but, awwww.

Where did you find Back Burner ?

KinNora · 11/04/2013 13:20

God only knows, the only way I've properly avoided 'investing too soon' is by not coming across anyone I really, really want.

Snapespeare · 11/04/2013 13:22

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! CLEAR!

WarmFuzzyFun · 11/04/2013 13:27

POF Kin.

Generally I haven't found POF too bad, the men are more intellectually 'bouncy' IYKWIM?

On Match I found that I attracted very fastidious men (the type who spend ages aligning their knife and fork on the plate after a mealConfused) in addition to my German fan base.

WarmFuzzyFun · 11/04/2013 13:29

I usually avoid emotionally investing too soon by reminding myself 'It's all BS...' so don't waste the head space analysing etc

KinNora · 11/04/2013 13:33

Ah, I just put an IE profile up on PoF for a bit of a laugh so didn't really try it properly.

VelvetSpoon · 11/04/2013 13:39

I appear to be at toddler rubbing my eyes stage of tiredness.

This is never a good thing for anyone who wears as much make up as I do.

I don't want a Nameless or R&R (though I'm sure both are lovely). I'd be quite happy with C, once he reaches the point of being less scared of the possibility of a relationship with me that is.

Off for a 2 min power nap in the loo. 3 more hours of work to struggle through...

48howdidthathappen · 11/04/2013 13:40

Thanks Kin Hoping mum should be home next week. We are going straight to private care now. So they want her out.

My shed roof is fixed. It pissed with rain and he just carried on Smile
One drop would have had ex bailing out.
I kept touching him on his thighs cock while he was up the ladder. He had said 'he would need a hand' Grin
We never stopped laughing.

Back at his we said the 'L' word again. I feel like a teenager Smile

48howdidthathappen · 11/04/2013 13:44

Mr R&R is a middle class drop out. Perfect Grin

SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 11/04/2013 13:48

Are Nameless and Mr R&R from the internet? If so how did you both find them?! Tips please Grin

WarmFuzzyFun · 11/04/2013 14:08

Kin, they are not IE respondents.

Other news just in...I have an interview! I am in shock, and a bit jittery wasn't expecting to be short listed.

JulietteMontague · 11/04/2013 14:11

Ahem

I mean Nameless in personality

I just called Phoneman. I mentioned we may get cut off as the signal from my house isn't too good, he mansplained why. As I was paying for the call I may have cut him off with 'So do you want to meet tomorrow or what?'. Coffee agreed, I'm fully expecting him to cancel. I don't think I care, it's very tiresome listening to men who assume they know more than me does he really think I haven't researched alternatives, masts, boosters and the like given what my job is.

WarmFuzzyFun · 11/04/2013 14:15

Jules Grin @'mansplained'

JulietteMontague · 11/04/2013 14:15

WFF that's excellent news, wish you all the best

Velvet only a couple of hours to look like you're awake

48 lurve is grand

I am doomed to being single and patronised for ever. This man is 44 ffs, I'll avoid cake as I don't trust myself with a fork.

JulietteMontague · 11/04/2013 14:15

WFF I can't take thee credit for that one, but it is spot on.

KinNora · 11/04/2013 14:45

Thank you Juliette you've just given me a word I've needed for years - men who assume I don't understand anything apart from fluffy bunnies and rainbows make me want to do murder

48 you're not putting me off an R&R-a-likey. Hope all goes well with your mum.

WFF -bravo, are you able to say what it's for ?

Velvet fighting the urge to ask which mascara you use - I'm a mascara whore.

Just answered a load of okc questions, seems to have thrown up some actual possibilities. I might go to the trouble of doing a proper profile.

JoylessFucker · 11/04/2013 15:21

"I'll avoid cake as I don't trust myself with a fork" Grin grin] Grin
Juliette I do think you are good to give these chaps a chance and I absolutely do not believe you are too fussy. Have you considered trying London Dating? Its a combo of The Times, Telegraph & Time Out? It is a pay site and pretty close to GSM but with more life.

I've decided to stop faffing round with all these FWBs and look for something serious. Its always been what I want, but sometimes I just don't have to energy to handle all the OD rubbish. Having had a bit of a break, I now have profiles on three sites. There does appear to be traffic and much of it has potential (string a sentence together, able to spell etc) but its early days yet, so no-one gets named or anything yet.

I've always found OKC interesting and like the way the questions give insights into serious areas (outing stuff such as misogyny, racism and sexual preferences). Only problem is I always seem to draw the out-and-out dominants. Now I do kinky fuckery, but there are limits ...

Oh & WFF and Nora, I'm 55, you're mere babes! Smile

JoylessFucker · 11/04/2013 15:22

Oh & Nora ... YSL faux cils, is there any other mascara worth using? If so, I need to know now Wink

SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 11/04/2013 15:26

I'm talking to an electrician who lives near me. He seems normal, no strange requests, no dodgy messages etc so shall see. He looks very attractive too so bonus Grin

MsCellophane · 11/04/2013 15:31

Hello daters

I am just back from a date with essexman - he's nice looking and very easy to talk to. Am not sure if I really fancied him but I didn't not fancy him iykwim

So, do I contact first to say that was pleasant or do I wait for him?

Well done Lubey on the cigs - I am still on ecig and only having 6-8 real ones a day, which is huge for this 40 a day person.
