Good afternoon thread! Smile

So date number 5 is supposed to be tonigth - unless my mind is playing tricks on me, we agree on it when we said our 'good byes' last Wednesday. We've texted since with "thinking about you", "have missed you since last Wednesday" from him thrown into the equation and no changes to text language (i.e. no 2 word replies etc). However, it's gone 4pm, I haven't heard from him since Monday night and I have no idea what time we are meeting and what we are doing.
Ok, I take some responsibility for not clarifying things sooner. Two reasons: 1. the last date was the theathre was which he had booked tickets weeks ago so I do feel that I need to 'pull my weight' here; 2. he seems pretty bad at planning things so although he won't let me pay / buy anything etc, it was me that ended up booking table for pre-theatre dinner and pre-ordering our food to save us time. From what I've seen, he seems the 'spur of the moment' type of person - not with days for us to meet but with finalising plans.
Now, do I text him to see if I should be formulating plans for tonight or should I leave it and see what happens on the basis that if he's interested, he'll be in touch at some point soon...before 7pm?
Thank you!!!!!!

StellaBrillante · 10/04/2013 16:24

Oh nevermind! As soon as I submitted my post, I had a text message from him asking what is happening tonight. I really need to stop being so insecure!!!! So here Wine is to date number 5 Grin

Big virtual hugs all and thank you for listening!!! xx

Evening all, have been driving round the country today for work, constantly phoning DC's who were looked after by the dog he says they were very well behaved clocked up 300 miles and knackered.

Well, we have accepted a sale offer on the house, a cash only no chain buyer who wants to move in end June. So suddenly it has all become a reality ...... good news, I lose any ties with STBXH and me and Mr EA can start looking at rental properties, down side is I leave my lovely home that I created and that makes me a bit sad I know, eyes forward Tigsy.

OWW Playmate of The Month in Precision Tools for Erect Engineers that is brilliant! is your modesty covered by a tool belt?

well done fag free Lubes, great achievement so far.

Waves to everyone else

If any of you make it to hell, I will be there doing the three day induction for newbies Grin

News just in...Lab's Dad has become unwell rapidly, he is going to family home, things are paused for the time being....

KinNora · 10/04/2013 20:07

I'll be off to Heaven, I'm a good girl, me. I'll send you all some marshmallows or something.

WarmFuzzyFun · 10/04/2013 20:09

Grin we don't have any need for marshmallows down there Kin. But maybe I'll join you, you never know, I have been known to be good occasionally Wink

OhWesternWind · 10/04/2013 20:12

I am very, very good ... or so I'm told.

KinNora · 10/04/2013 20:21

I'm praying for your souls.

OWW have you been saucy-talking some engineers ?

OhWesternWind · 10/04/2013 20:28

Engineers don't do saucy, Nora. They like talking about pipes and ducts and cables and technical non-compliance issues. They do not appreciate witty engineering-based double entendres. They do not think erections and penetrations are worth smirking about. It's a serious business, being an engineer.

Give me an undertaker any day for a bit of light relief.

VelvetSpoon · 10/04/2013 20:31

Western your engineer magnet seems to be like mine for the construction trades. Although I suspect the standard of conversation from yours is much better!

TigsytheTiger · 10/04/2013 20:37

OWW how boring, when there is so much raw material there to work with! pah to engineers.

Undertakers- there's a thought - stiffs, rigor mortis ... there's potential!

WarmFuzzyFun · 10/04/2013 20:40

I seem to be a public school boy magnet. I don't mind generally, but find that if they have 'that kind of accent' it is a turn off.

KinNora · 10/04/2013 20:49

I cannot begin to tell you, OWW, how disappointed I am to hear that engineers are unresponsive to double entendres - what happens if you ask if they'd like to slip a length of trunking into your duct ? I couldn't be doing with that.
People who deal with death on a regular basis are often very amusing, I've variously chuckled with pathologists, morgue assistants and police officers bearing unattached body parts.

WFF I attract posh blerks too, what's all that about ? Posh blokes and artistes. Software is like a hippy Hugh Grant, all mumbly.

WarmFuzzyFun · 10/04/2013 20:53

Told you we were parallel universe twins didn't I?

Lab is very posh.

WarmFuzzyFun · 10/04/2013 20:55

Wouldn't say no to an artist, I imagine they are all sensitive and full of insight and wonder at the world.

Correct me Kin

OhWesternWind · 10/04/2013 20:55

Oh! Oh! The Italian one has just asked me out for a cup of tea!! I am going to say yes, but not sure if I want a cup of tea . . . I quite like this one, he does not do too much engineering talk. He tells me things about Venice and stargazing and his sister instead.

Think I will say yes to the other one as well, the keen one (same job as me). Going to see if I can get to three in one day.

WarmFuzzyFun · 10/04/2013 20:58

Three in one day? You go girl! (Where is the Beyonce swagger/attitude OWW?)

You'll need a grading system or something to prevent you liking all three? It could go to a tie break situation

VelvetSpoon · 10/04/2013 21:03

I feel like I'm missing out! I've never been out with anyone from public school.

Even C only has a poshboys name. But is not at all posh other than that, and thinks he sounds common (he sounds just like me tbh...). His parents do have a big house though with room for a pony Grin

Pomegranatenoir · 10/04/2013 21:11

oww loving how busy you are!!! Keep up the good work.

I would love a posh boy. Really like well spoken men but unfortunately I have never had one!!! There is time yet!!

What is the general opinion in policemen? One had been messaging me all day. Asked me on a date after 3rd message!!! He joined pof last night. He works on firearms. Sounds scary to me but he assures me it is just a job! No red flags yet apart from speed of asking for a date, his job and general reputation of police bed hopping. Sorry if I have offended anyone!!

KinNora · 10/04/2013 21:23

Velvet 'room for a pony' made me arf. I thought it'd be posh boy-erama in your line of work.

Bloody hell OWW you're on fire - I like the sound of the Italian.

WFF yes, we clearly are twins, separated by a cruel cosmos. Artists -pffffffft - so far I have had poems, songs, paintings ( I do have a drawing of me done by my first proper boyfriend that I found again recently, might have to keep that one away from the kids ) - generally a bit wet and not exactly the last of the red hot lovers imho.
