advice needed my wife has been having an affair

hi all

seem silly posting on here but didnt know what else to do. Last night my wife admitted to having an affair with her boss. It has been going on for months. We have an 18 year old son who is my world.

she says she wants to leave but i dont want to be apart from my son. I feel like my world has been ripped apart and i dont know what to do. Please help

Working through all the emotions of things and getting them in order is going to take time.

You are doing fantastically,being level headed and seeing a solicitor to get the legal angle so soon after the big shock.

I'm really glad that you've found it within you to have a degree of civility with your STBXW and that she sorts alternative accomodation very soon.

But most importantly I'm glad that as you're under the same roof you're getting lots of access to your son, that he's not being turned into a weapon.

I hope things went well with your solicitor and you have plans to have people aound you to help keep you proped up for the four day break.

The world has many wonderful loving, generous people within it. When you are ready down the line, if you want to start the dating game I'm sure that the internet dating threads would enjoy having another member.

One day at a time is enough to start with. Keep strong.
