Although we must not live in the past, our memories haunt and shape us. I know that so many people are facing illness, uncertainties and personal trials but we really must make the most of each day which is given to us!

I'm up because at 11.50PM I learned that a child who was treated with my daughter in the paed onco unit is terminal.

I'm so sorry to hear that, expat. Words fail me. Hugs for you and for the child's family.

expat - can't stop thinking about your post and the poor little child. Don't really know what to say and can't think of any words of comfort. Sending very best wishes to (firstly) the child (you didn't say whether a boy or a girl) and, secondly, his or her family and, of course, you and yours. How awful for everyone!

Jynier, i feel for you and the sad losses. Hopefully sometime soon it will be time to put away the sadness and the sad bad memories and get on with living. It may not be just yet. But your loved ones would I am sure want you to let go be happy and live your life. Hugs
