MrsShrek3 · 19/03/2013 23:40

(hoping I haven't offended our gnome SD)

anyone else likely to be here for a bit tonight? Otherwise I'm happy to ramble on to myself, insanity is a bonus Grin

jynier · 20/03/2013 01:36

MrsShrek3 - I sent a message to MNHQ in appreciation of all of the very kind posts which I had received on this thread on the 40th anniversary of the loss of my baby. Had an extremely thoughtful response today. Grateful to you all!

Although we must not live in the past, our memories haunt and shape us. I know that so many people are facing illness, uncertainties and personal trials but we really must make the most of each day which is given to us!

Here endeth the lesson from jynier who has just turned into Mother Theresa! Where is cafe?

expatinscotland · 20/03/2013 01:37

I'm up because at 11.50PM I learned that a child who was treated with my daughter in the paed onco unit is terminal.

jynier · 20/03/2013 02:03

expat - So sorry; it must be so hard for you all. Sending deep and heartfelt wishes. Didn't mean to upset anyone with my post. x

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 20/03/2013 03:09

So sorry expat Sad Thanks

SummerDad · 20/03/2013 04:21

managed to sleep around midnight and up again, I guess I am addicted to this thread Smile
MrsShrek you have not offended me at all rather I feel flattered by the stuff you guys said Smile. Lets see when do I fall asleep again Smile

jynier · 20/03/2013 04:43

Hiya, SD! Are you asleep? Hope that you get some serious z's tonight/today! No surprise that you are addicted to this thread!!!

SummerDad · 20/03/2013 04:46

I am up jynier, at least for now Smile I hope you are feeling better.

jynier · 20/03/2013 04:54

Just PM'd you!

BlueyDragon · 20/03/2013 05:01

I'm so sorry to hear that, expat. Words fail me. Hugs for you and for the child's family.

BlueyDragon · 20/03/2013 05:04

The feet are less firey today thanks to my reflexologist. The insomnia is DS induced tonight.

I'm so sad about expat's post. It's not fair.

jynier · 20/03/2013 05:43

expat - can't stop thinking about your post and the poor little child. Don't really know what to say and can't think of any words of comfort. Sending very best wishes to (firstly) the child (you didn't say whether a boy or a girl) and, secondly, his or her family and, of course, you and yours. How awful for everyone!

Midwife99 · 20/03/2013 07:03

So sorry expat - that must be a shock & much too close to home for you. Jynier - I'm glad you felt supported here on the 40th anniversary of your loss. Smile
Mini - I wonder if it would be worth having an Ayurvedic consultation? You are maybe a bit too pitta? See link to work out your dosha!!

Midwife99 · 20/03/2013 07:22

Tee hee - SD a chuckling gnome on a hillock! I think he was hoping for a more virile avatar! Grin

jynier · 20/03/2013 07:57

Midwife99 - Thanks for your kind thoughts; am indulging in a massive overdose of self-pity. Miss my little bro and my BF so much - it's unbelievable!

Minimammoth · 20/03/2013 12:22

Jynier, i feel for you and the sad losses. Hopefully sometime soon it will be time to put away the sadness and the sad bad memories and get on with living. It may not be just yet. But your loved ones would I am sure want you to let go be happy and live your life. Hugs

SummerDad · 20/03/2013 21:06

Midwife99 if I say something about hills will that be misconstrued as rude, being a failure in the relationship I am never sure how will any of my move be received by the opposite side, not that I am being sexist just being careful Smile

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 20/03/2013 21:46

dad are you making a move on our themidwife and her spectacular hills? I don't blame you Grin

SummerDad · 20/03/2013 21:55

Kitty I didn't think hills are specific to only 'our' themidwife, hmmmmmmmm Grin.

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 20/03/2013 22:01

oh you are right, if course. many sbfine maiden possesses 'hills'. Wink

I just thought you were addressing our themidwife directly.

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 20/03/2013 22:02
