Jynier my best wishes are with you and your little one.

MrsShrek3 · 17/03/2013 23:58

hasn't heard of silver linings Blush
DH watching the long kiss goodnight. Now you've all got a film to watch I want one too Grin and still not ghost

SummerDad · 18/03/2013 00:03

have you watched first fifty dates, MrsShrek3. What kind of movies are you into?

jynier · 18/03/2013 00:06

"cafe* - in reply to your post when you asked if I was on my own? No, I wasn't; was on holiday in Ireland with my husband, two little children and my mother. Ma had always wanted to go back to Ireland for St. Patrick's Day.

I had the baby on my own in the bathroom but was very quickly taken to the regional maternity hospital in Limerick (St. Munchin's) and received the most amazing care. The staff were wonderful and very, very kind.

SummerDad · 18/03/2013 00:06

sorry it was Silver Linings Playbook .

MrsShrek3 · 18/03/2013 00:13

SummerDad - Tx

SummerDad · 18/03/2013 00:26

you are welcome jynier. I strongly wish that you find peace with your loss.

SummerDad · 18/03/2013 01:10

Is anyone else awake Grin

jynier · 18/03/2013 01:31

Yes, SD. You may find this a bit odd but I am listening to Mary Schneider!

BlueyDragon · 18/03/2013 04:29

jynier, just to let you know I was thinking of you today. I can't imagine that what you've been through ever gets any easier to bear.

I'm trying to catch up with this thread after a week of sleep gets shattered by chemo. My feet are on fire and my brain is ON. Totally wired. However, it sounds like the rest of you have much more to deal with AND you all get domestic too. I stand lie in awe of the lot of you. But be kind to yourselves please.

Come on rips, what happened with the kidney?

Midwife99 · 18/03/2013 07:04

Ah jynier my thoughts are with you. I know you can never "get over" the loss of a child. My grandma lost her youngest son aged 6 when he was hit by a car & she had his photo by her bed until the day she died aged 96. Sad

MrsShrek3 · 18/03/2013 07:11

bluey, hugs. how many round of chemo? hope you find a solution for your firey feet (DH has this too) and get lots of rest. Will be thinking of you too.

i did tv and ironing last night as it looked like you lot were asleep. good on any of you who were Wink

BlueyDragon · 18/03/2013 07:35

I've just had round 10 of 11 - one more to go! - but the side effects seem to be getting worse so I'm just trying to hang on for 3 more weeks then we're done. I think your DH has bowel cancer too, MrsShrek, or did I get that wrong? Whatever cancer it is, it is a right [please insert very rude word here], especially on those who are supporting. Hope you got some sleep in the end.

Thanks Welovegrapes it was a lovely movie, a bit slow in the start but quite entertaining throughout. Jennifer Lawrence performed really well in that Smile.

Minimammoth · 18/03/2013 22:02

Hello folks. Had a couple of rough nights, waking early, need to catch up. Spring sneezing season kicking in so v. snotty. DH in pain so he is restless too. Great sunshine here though. Still waiting to here about the kidney.
