lubey enjoy your shag! :)

I need new converse. mine are black suede and letting in water... :(

ike1 · 06/03/2013 12:55

its blimmin lazy....just text back...'nothing'

lulubellaboozle · 06/03/2013 12:55

Rose exactly! I used to reply in one words, like "working" or "reading" that soon put them off!

Mr EA and I exchanged literally thousands of texts before we met, probably in the region of up to a 100 a day and i loved every minute of it ..... some days now, it can be 20 or so a day and sometimes like today, just the one so far. Luckily we are on the same page, with texting, phone calls etc.

ahem, Mr EA and I are going to move in together when my house finally sells Blush

ike1 · 06/03/2013 12:57

OH HOW FAB !!! There who said on line dating doesnt work!!!!

Scrazy · 06/03/2013 13:04

lulu, success story Grin.

So that's 1 wedding, 3 babies, 1 cohabiting that I know of from current and ex mumsnetters, so who said it didn't work? Me and I'm wrong

Scrazy · 06/03/2013 13:05

The 3 babies mentioned are also from successful relationships btw.

VoiceofUnreason · 06/03/2013 13:10

No one said OD doesn't work, just that the success rate (in terms of long-term) is lower than we would all like.

Banter - be it text or email - is a very important thing, I think. It can make you smile and feel silly and happy and just GOOD. And by God we all need that. (And totally different to the "Hey wuup2?" rubbish)

ike1 · 06/03/2013 13:10

Every flaming profile I have looked at today has been a Scorpio and most of them are playing guitar. What is that about????

ike1 · 06/03/2013 13:11

Voice.....oh ..never mind....

VoiceofUnreason · 06/03/2013 13:12

Sorry, Ike....

ike1 · 06/03/2013 13:12

Did you have a lovely birthday btw

48howdidthathappen · 06/03/2013 13:17

Lulu Great news Smile

Lubey Have fun Grin

Snape All dependant on equipment arriving today. Fingers crossed.

Really hope you get some clarity tonight OWW

I am seeing Mr R&R tonight instead of Thursday now. Best stress relief ever Wink

OhWesternWind · 06/03/2013 13:18

Lulu what fabulous news. So, so pleased for you Grin

VoiceofUnreason · 06/03/2013 13:28

Lulu - hurrah, ignore my naysaying, I didn't mean it towards you at all.

ike - I had lovely weather, caught up with a couple of old and new friends. No lemon roly poly though, didn't have time. Still chuntering to myself under my breath that being 39 now means I am in my 40th year, grumble grumble...

Snapespeare · 06/03/2013 13:31

Congratulations Lulu that's lovely news! :)

VelvetSpoon · 06/03/2013 13:32

Lulu that's great news :) congrats.

Western, hope that you get to say all you want to later and the outcome is one you're happy with.

I don't find constant text banter sustainable for more than a few days...I actually don't mind C's lack of texts. Its clearly his style, he's never been a frequent communicator. It's more not knowing when I'm seeing him next/where I stand that niggles just a little.

But notwithstanding that he is still thousands of times better than any/ every other bloke I've met via od, hence I have no desire to write him off in favour of the creeps , pervs and issued-up, ONS seeking idiots I encounter online

Flipper924 · 06/03/2013 13:35

Aww, how lovely, congratulations, Lulu!

A real bonafide dating thread graduate!

AndLibbyMakesThree · 06/03/2013 13:35

Lulu, that's great news! (I agree with you about text banter too, btw - I find it helps to retain the closeness when you can't see someone for a few days).

OWW I think you're doing the right thing having a serious conversation with LM, as things can't go on like this, but I can understand why you're dreading it. I really hope things go better than you're expecting. Either way, we'll all be here to hold your hand.

Voice, a belated happy birthday. And how I wish I was only in my 40th year...

MirandaWest · 06/03/2013 13:36

That's great news Lulu :)

Am driving all over the place mystery shopping today. Plus invigilated dull exam too this morning . Sometimes I do think I should have a "proper" job but mostly quite happy how I am.

48howdidthathappen · 06/03/2013 13:38

Im 49 this year Voice Having loads of fun, despite all the bad stuff.

OhWesternWind · 06/03/2013 13:51

Have just spoken to (L)M, rang him for a chat. I know this is same old same old, but he's very stressed out today with his builders, nothing has turned up that should have, looking like things might not be ready and the shopfitters are really messing him about. So, I think that tonight isn't a good time for a serious talk.

Not sure if I will still see him. Might just lie low a while, not sure.

I like a bit of text banter as well, but not all the time.

MirandaWest · 06/03/2013 14:09

OWW I think there might always be something that will be stressing him. Or at least for the next few months at least - opening a shop isn't going to be stress free.

MirandaWest · 06/03/2013 14:11

Hope lubey is having a good time Wink

AndLibbyMakesThree · 06/03/2013 14:14

Miranda, how did you get all your different jobs? I'm planning to go back to work in September when DS starts school, and I like the idea of having various different jobs rather than one 'proper' job.

KirstyWirsty · 06/03/2013 14:36

I love text banter .. I couldn't cope with C I'm afraid Velvet

OWW I think you'd be better lying low until next week and then having a chat when the dust settles - you are not going to get LM's full attention this week

Voice please stop going on about being 39 - I will be 45 in May Hmm
