Evening all. As you were.

OP posts:

Nooo Kin I will not be able to take him seriously if he has any hint of a dutch accent now....I can hear it in my head already!!!!

VelvetSpoon · 19/02/2013 21:49

Snape that's lovely :)

In a fit of pique, or whatever it was, I had a mini date this evening with one of my suitors, we met for a quick coffee (followed by some snogging). He's nice enough. He clearly fancies me a lot. But he's not Cuthbert, and that was all I could think about while I was kissing him - that I would far rather be kissing C.

Which is all a bit crappy.

So I text C earlier, to say I'd like to see him soon, etc. No reply as yet of course.

SweetSeraphim · 19/02/2013 21:49

Awwww, I LOVE Nameless!! Grin Grin So glad this is going well.

ike1 · 19/02/2013 21:50

Mind you it has got to the stage where sublety is not what is called for...Bring on the pan stick ladies ....

ike1 · 19/02/2013 21:52

ooooof Velv .....how you feelin lovely???

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 21:57

Velvet, you are smitten with C, aren't you?

When are you supposed to be seeing him next?

WarmFuzzyFun · 19/02/2013 22:00

Ike, as long as you stop on the right side of pantomine dame, I expect it will be okay, just don't frighten the horsesGrin

I am wondering if the new make up might be enough to roll back the years and CACI can be put on hold

JulietteMontague · 19/02/2013 22:01

Snape Grin sounds wonderful, kissing like that is the absolute best.

KinNora · 19/02/2013 22:01

That's a bit rubbish, Velvet.

Yeah, Ike, you'll be there, sipping coffee somewhere nice, doing a bit of eye contact and 'toite like a toiger' will come into your head ...

VelvetSpoon · 19/02/2013 22:03

Ike, I've been better...

WFF, yes, I think I am utterly smitten with him. Which in the circs is as :( as it is :) We said last week we would try and see each other this week, possibly Friday, but nothing confirmed yet. So I don't actually know when I'll be seeing him next.

Scrazy · 19/02/2013 22:06

Snape Grin.

Velvet, what's happening with C, you need to arrange another date, if I were you I would ring him.

Nothing wrong with a first coffee in Ikea cafe, much better than following a stranger in a car.

Ike, good luck with the date.

Hope Lubey is OK.

Nothing much happening with me, talking to a guy who won't let me see a photo, yet but it's just a little bit of banter if I happen to log on.

Will not be having a horrible weekend like the last one. Going to a fancy dress party of Friday night and have just ordered a costume! Never done fancy dress much but it's tame and I might be able to sexy it up a bit.

ike1 · 19/02/2013 22:06

Nora...Just stop it ....stop it now!!hhhaaaa.

Oh Velv hun ...dont know what to say...you are doing everything right as far as I can see...

Flipper924 · 19/02/2013 22:08

Good for you, Velvet, for contacting LC and telling him you'd like to see him. He agreed to try and see you more often, so it's time to put his money where his mouth is.

Oh, Snape, I'm swooning. Was it the BBC penguin thing, where they have cameras made to look like penguins? I watched it yesterday, and found myself sympathising with the poor penguin who was trying to flirt with the camera-robot-penguin.

Calm down, Nomore, it'll be fine.

I need good make up, but I think more sleep would be a good start.

ike1 · 19/02/2013 22:10

Flips that camera robot penguin scenario sounds like many an OD dating situ...

Flipper924 · 19/02/2013 22:11

Oh, and yes to Ikea cafe for the date. I'd even suggest meeting there rather than the car park. More public and therefore safer.

Flipper924 · 19/02/2013 22:12

Exactly, Ike. It was a bit tragic.

JulietteMontague · 19/02/2013 22:18

I agree with Flipper on meeting in the cafe. Much safer and more comfortable that a car park.

ike1 · 19/02/2013 22:24

Yeah cafe's the way to go deffo!

ike1 · 19/02/2013 22:25

He can treat you to a hot dog and whippy ice cream!

VelvetSpoon · 19/02/2013 22:30

Scrazy fancy dress parties always seem like a faff but often end up being good fun! What are you going as?

Re C, we don't talk on the phone! So I couldn't just call him. I've text now and at some point hopefully he'll reply.

I don't know what more I can do really. I know he likes me, I really don't thin its a he's not that into me kind of thing. Fingers crossed I see him soon...

Flipper924 · 19/02/2013 22:34

I agree, Velvet, everything you've said makes me think he's genuine and really likes you. It's just a question of getting his backside in gear, or you being happy to be in the same low gear as him.

Some people hate fancy dress, don't they? I love it. You can be as sexy, daft or whatever as you like, but it's hard to take yourself seriously which makes for good fun.

KinNora · 19/02/2013 22:56

I'm another in the love fancy dress camp, Flipper, but it's not shared by everyone miseries . What are you going as Scrazy ?

VoiceofUnreason · 19/02/2013 23:00

People taking my name in vain?? I refuse to join a discussion on make-up!

OP posts:
KinNora · 19/02/2013 23:05

As if we would, Voice

JulietteMontague · 19/02/2013 23:08
