3 is a magic number. Yes it is, it's a magic number Wink

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 28/02/2013 04:06

stars hour purple rabbit sounds gorgeous Grin

starsandunicorns · 28/02/2013 04:15

Biscuts are rich tea, custard creams, ginger nuts and dead fly biscuts.

Waves back to Kitty. I never bf my dc couldnt get the hang of it. Does your dd have lots of feeds during the day. She may be just thirsty.

When mine were little when they stayed at my parents house they drank so much due to parents house been so warm.

Dd1 got into the pattern of no sleep at night time/early starts and I really struggled.

I used to take her swimming in the early eveing to try and knacker her out plus having hour long playtime baths do feel for you Kitty. At least you can pop on here and chat in the mornings.

Did you have a good lie in this morning.

jynier · 28/02/2013 04:23

cafecito - you may be overreaching yourself by volunteering for a bereavement helpline. You always seem to have so much on and am worried that you will stretch yourself too much.

kitty - I breastfed all of my children. Was guided by a wonderful book called "The Experience of Childbirth" by Sheila Kitzinger. SK went a bit spiritual and "flowery" later on but her advice was excellent in TEOC! My children were all BF until I became pregnant again (when they were 10 months old) apart from the last one. My husband, against my wishes, had a vasectomy. Was absolutely shattered from BFing my youngest until the age of 2. There was no need for it as she could eat and drink independently - was just a comfort and habit for her!

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 28/02/2013 04:25

ok looks like she's out for the count so going to put the chocolate down step away from the phone and try for more sleep too.

cafe don't you start to feel trippy and wobbly after being awake all day and night? Confused I know I do. Or are you a young thing? I imagine you all to be my age but I bet you are all flippitygibbitsGrin

midwife I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to fully read your posts so apologise if this has been covered but could the chopping and changing be a symptom or manifestation of his illness? I historically have some mental unhealthiness and one of my 'things' when I have is extreme indecisiveness. Even down to do I want to play scrabble or watch a film? What film? Do I want a drink? I can't imagine having to factor in huge life changing decisions when I've been like that. Sad

Luckily for me this was pre-baby. I hope it doesn't come back.

Again I'm so sorry you are having to go through this and I will give your posts the concentration they deserve when I can.

starsandunicorns · 28/02/2013 04:25

It is Kitty is about 20 inches long with long legs and very long floopy flat ears. A pink nose, green eyes, light purple body with a dark purple scarf so its a definalty a girl may need to pop on to baby names to get a good name Grin

My dd2 is visting on friday for the weekend so may have to search her bags before she leaves incase rabbit "hopped" in the suitcase.

Really need to sort my sleep pattern before friday though as we off to the city near us so dd2 can do shopping so it will be a early start and the vintage place she loves buying stuff from is 4 floors high and thats before primark.

its going to be a very busy weekend.

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 28/02/2013 04:32

cafecito · 28/02/2013 04:40

starsandunicorns · 28/02/2013 04:44

I know cafecito its a very long day. Thinking back to when dd1 was like that I start rocking back and forth.

cafecito · 28/02/2013 04:45

Shock at dead fly biscuits.. what are these!? ginger biscuits are my vice. Scoffed a pack (a whole pack) of M&S dark choc ginger biscuits the other day. and ate a whole pack (!) a day when pg with DS. You mst all think am obese

I have to say 3 is a good number. But I have a weird thing with numbers. 6 is the perfect number (product of its primes)

7 is ok, 9 is awesome (3x3) 27 is good too, 28, 32, 21, 12 Confused

starsandunicorns · 28/02/2013 04:46

I too will say my good nights though will be entering the snoring zone have a good day to you all.

Camwombat · 28/02/2013 04:50

dead fly biscuits are what I used to call garibaldis... then you have squashed fly cakes (eccles).

cafecito · 28/02/2013 04:51

lovely sounding rabbit

how many children do you have jynier?

I wish I had BF DS for longer (I went back to work quite soon, and as soon as I started mixed feeding it all tailed off but still managed it til 9-10 months). I BF'd DD for a long time.

I have a friend who breastfed her enormously tall son until he was 4.... he seems fine now (6) !

jynier I think you might be right. I am severely overstretched as it is. It appeals because it's near me, DC specific, and goes on til quite late at night (though I have work to do and DS to manage and various sets of neverending exams). I don't think you have to commit to many shifts though and with my professional background (with clients) I have a lot f experience of similar, but equally it could be draining. I don't know.

kitty I am under 30, but my joints creak and I have sun damage Grin

cafecito · 28/02/2013 04:52

thank you for the disambiguation camwombat! are eccles.. a bit like ''easter biscuits'' (yum of yumminess)

cafecito · 28/02/2013 04:53

goodnight all!

I shall have to stay up now.. going to do some filing - decided if I sort my environment out I will be more productive..

starsandunicorns · 28/02/2013 04:54

Dead fly biscuts are the flat biscuts with currents in garybaldi ( sp) my grandad called them dead fly biscuts ahh remmbers with fondest that my gps had a posh biscut tin that went to there room each morning with there morning brew.

cafecito · 28/02/2013 04:57

my grandparents had an awesome biscuit tin!

do you think we a re a specific personality subset - number issues and sleepless nights run together? biscuit love? pondering..

cafecito · 28/02/2013 04:59

sometimes I feel veyr clear headed kitty, and wide awake, after a day, a night and day of no sleep. sometimes though I feel as if my decision making is slightly impaired, like a little more fragile if that makes sense, and sometimes am completely hyperactive (have read this is dopamine)

cafecito · 28/02/2013 05:01

also my perception of time starts to disappear, like a 20 min work-related thing could become hours before I notice

starsandunicorns · 28/02/2013 05:03

Oh Kitty Im 40 but feel like 90 most days.

( bad back and knees from Army and doing hard phyiscal work for a long time.
